The dynamic Dutch duo - real names Hetto Vennik and Erwin Derksen - have produced a slice of slamming, bouncy, techy, progressive house entitled 'Whisper' that is sure to rock dance floors from Amsterdam to Miami.
 Two top-class remixes are supplied by Jeepers! stalwarts NICK HOOK and MARTIN SHARP, both of which are sure-fire hip wiggling stompers.

I made a ‘classics’ mix, while trying to avoid to overly ‘obvious ones’. 
Mixing up personal favorites from the collection and remembering the harder sounds that could be heard in underground Amsterdam in the 90’s.

Here’s my new 2 hour and 38 minutes mix of current Deep House, Progressive House and ’Techno’. 
I am really pleased with the outcome of this Journey, which started after being inspired by sublime tracks made by: 
Nick Hook, Montel, Ezequiel Arias, Stuart King, Sasha, Andre Absolut, Montero, Mongo, Matador, Phi Phi, Raito, Spektre / Roberto Capuano, Julian Jeweil, Tom Wax amongst others. 
This (peak time) set slowly progresses into something quite filthy, of which you get a glance just before the 1 hour mark. 
Exploring some more possibilities of my digital system with the Denon MCX8000 and DJ Player Pro with a bit of 3 and 4 deck usage, FX and some nifty Looping,
while deck 1 and 2 are in manual mixing mode (no sync). Check out the 4 deck part during and after Sasha’s remix of ‘Innerbloom’ between 43:50 and 50:50 min. and tell me what you think :-)
I also finally made and updated the ‘intro’ and artwork for my Universal Language mix series. 
I hope you enjoy listening to this as much as i did creating it.

Throwback to a year ago:
This was my entry mix for the 2018 dj competition that was held by The Promised Land Festival Organisation for an opening slot. The 'Classics' festival, 5th birthday '18.
 I aimed for the Techno/Acid stage, as that suits my taste better. I tried to keep it cool, set time was 13:00u, no 'bangers', but trying to get the Techno/Acid stage going with records that are still close to me. Not to fast, not to hard, not too proggy and keeping it tasteful with a bit of balls - that was my idea :-). It worked, because i won and played a vinyl set at this fantastic festival, between a bunch of my national and international heroes! Facebook keeps sending me 'memories' which reminded me the set has been on 'private' since i put it online - thought it was about time to make it possible for people to enjoy! 
This led to a follow up gig at The Promised Land Winter Circus @ Thuishaven Amsterdam, March 2019 which also was really awesome! 
This year i will be present as guest at The Promised Land Open Air 2019; it is just around the corner, 3 weeks to go! Whoop Whoop :-)

Oldskool vinyl mix by HETTO recorded live at the first Underground Dance Movement (UDM) event at Basement 45 in Bristol (UK, 21-09-2019). I was playing the 'oldskool house / funky house' room with a team of top jogs and the main room had headliner Dave Randall supported by DFQ, Kev D and Ben Javlin. 
i played 24.00 - 01.00 and a couple more tunes later that night, and i've put that part in this file as well.

Inspired by yesterdays music at The Promised Land vs Mazzo Winter Edition and having this on CD in the car, i had to finally put this 10 years old mix online to share. For some reason i didn't agree with the outcome in 2010 and left it on the hard drive. Dug it out and found there's nothing wrong with it. :-) 
it's full of belters from 1994 to 1998 only, except the last track which is from 2001. At least 3 huge tracks are not on Youtube or anywhere else online and pretty overlooked in my opinion.

A vinyl mix i did in 2013. At the time i figured it was a waste these records weren't in some of my mixes, or i hardly played them, something like that. So i wanted to kind of make a 'prog trance document' and intentionally i wanted it to be kind of 'easy on the ear', so it would be great to listen to at whatever time or place. It goes of quite easy, although deep, melancholic and moody at some places, but then it’s uplifting too and does go off and this 2,5 hrs trip ended up full of bangers nevertheless. i never put this online; i think i overthought 'it has too many bangers' so if anything, that might be 'wrong' with it. I also found two or three mixes weren't good enough. But there's 23 tracks in here and some mixes i couldn't do better. It's 26 March 2020 today as i put this online, the world is upside down due to covid-19/Corona and filled with fear. Hence the title 'New Beginning' named after the very last track by Graeme L, as maybe, just maybe something better will come after these dark times. Hope overcoming fear. Stay safe - Enjoy the music

Biography:
Since hearing mixtapes recorded at underground raves in the early 90’s, HETTO ‘Blaster’ has been caught by the ‘4-on-the-floor’ House Beat. 
Soon after the first nights out at House Parties and Raves, he got himself two SL1200’s and a small mixer, started collecting records and got active at organising events.
DJ-gigs over the years: many local events, and parties throughout the Netherlands like The Trance Buddha (Amsterdam), Legalize! Streetrave (Amsterdam), Qlubtempo (Hemkade, Zaandam), Club Puma (Utrecht), Lief Festival (Utrecht), OGHF with Dutch house music Pioneer dj Per (Ijburg, Amsterdam) , The Promised Land Open Air (Spaarnwoude), The Promised Land Winter Edition (Thuishaven, Amsterdam) and more. 
Hetto has also been behind the decks in Brazil, Switzerland, Spain, Belgium and in the UK, where legendary dj/producer Dave Randall headlined at the Underground Dance Movement (UDM) party in Bristol.
Music Production and audio work:
Late 90’s, he took his first steps at producing his own tracks, while graduating at the School Of Audio Engineering (Amsterdam) in 1998. 
20 years of work as audio engineer for Dutch television and radio broadcast stations followed straight after graduating at the SAE. The audio work at TV also resulted in a highlight in his career when creating the Theme and background music for television game show ‘Game Time’ in 2002. The music was used for 2 years on Dutch channel RTL4.
2010 finally saw Hetto Blaster’s first dj/producer musical output; a remix of Alex Blanco’s & Natalie Parker’s ‘Subversive Minds’, released on ‘Project House Recordings’, followed in 2011 by two original tracks – ‘Whisper’ and ‘Rock Your Body’ - and a string of remixes (see below) released as ‘HETTO & 6ft7’ (a collaboration with Erwin Derksen) on the Jeepers! Label, run by another legendary UK DJ/Producer: Nick Hook. A remix, of Nick Hook’s ‘Skanking’, came out on Little Gremlin Music.
Quite a lot of these tracks were later licensed to compilation albums, amongst which: ‘Feel The Groove (House Of House), ‘This Is House’ (House Of House), ‘Ibiza 2012 – Back To The Island’ (House Of House),  ‘House Code Vol. 1 (Wormland Gold), ‘Welcome To Miami’ (I Like That!), ‘Massive Miami 2012’ (Music Is The Answer) and others.
