I still remember my first appearance at the mighty Unsichtbar Club in 2010 when he appeared as a guest.
Now, 11 years later, i truly admire his skills and taste!

The sonic spectrum spans the darkest depths of techno, from subterranean, pulsating frequencies to explosive, rapid-fire patterns evoking cosmic turbulence, collapsing stars, and the oscillations of distant quasars. Every waveform has been curated to echo the architecture of human thought, the oscillations of your neural and emotional patterns, and the imprint of your species upon the planetary and interstellar grid.

Born in Venezuela but lost in Buenos Aires, Michel Lauriola has a profound, deep, yet rhythmic sound both in his DJ sets and productions. Having edited on labels like Credo, Animal Farm and Newrhytmic, last year his track ‘Shadow Movements’ was included in Polegroup’s very own compilation series: Unknown Landscapes. Recently he also released on Insolate’s Out Of Place label for a Various Artist compilation, so keep an eye on him during the next months. A true institution in his hometown Buenos Aires and known for his All Night Long formats, he has an upcoming gig which will have him doing live, vinyl and cdjs sets all in the same night in Cocoliche, together with more dates and an European tour during the second half of 2019.

Raffaele Attanasio was born in a family of musicians. He cultivated a passion for music since he has been a child, infact he started to have piano lessons. At the age of 12 he started to take ones first steps in the world of djing and after 5 years he made his first productions. In this period he was really into techno music, electronic music and classical-contemporary composition. 

In 2007 he took the piano graduation which improves his artistic language. Raffaele Attanasio is a pianist, arranger and producer. During his career he collaborated with artists such as Orlando Voorn for the personal compilation on Nightvision Records. Now he is supported by important artists such as Len Faki, Luke Slater, Ben Sims, Kirk Degiorgio, Chris Liebing, Marcel Dettmann, Ben Klock, Juan Atkins, Derrick May, Oscar mulero and Dustin Zahn. Raffaele made remixes for Trapez, Gynoid and the last is called Telrae for Reimut Van Bonn. 

At the moment his success Black Bloc EP (NON 001, 2011) is on charts. It's the first output on the spanish label. It's about a work made up of solid and snare techno groove. It's also going to come out the remixes version (NON002, 2012). The artist has choosen Italy as his home. Raffaele wishes one day the public will be less xenofile because it should be proud of italians talents and don't make them live the "Bel Paese". European artists should be less envious of italians. Raffaele Attanasio is the proof of italians success.

The Forgotten CC: Raffaele Attanasio

Since its beginning in 2009, Grounded Theory has grown from a bracing new idea in Berlin techno to an institution of artistic nightlife both at its home and around the continent. Directed with acute vision and unerring judgment, its philosophy extracted from Henning’s long years at the front lines of electronic music, it remains diverse and cutting edge. Mirroring Henning Baer's DJ sets, Grounded Theory combines music from different eras and areas, remaining rooted in techno while shedding light on sounds less frequently heard on Berlin dance floors: forward UK music, experimental electronics, and underground techno names from across the globe, both new and established.   

Following on years of closely-synchronized work with fellow resident Milton Bradley, Henning Baer is now asserting greater independence with innovative new production styles on a recent EP for Taanstaafl Planets. The launch of his own MANHIGH imprint buttresses the foundation of his own work, to be built up alongside a select few whose productions meet the curatorial acumen of one of techno’s finest ears. After esteemed releases on Sonic Groove, K209 and elsewhere, fans worldwide have much to look forward to from a label whose standards match those of Grounded Theory. 

Already a respected artist, Henning’s diligence has transported him from the counter to the shelves of Hardwax and from the floor to the booth of Berghain in regular appearances. Now he is building further upon these impressive accomplishments, profoundly shaping contemporary techno from recent memory into the foreseeable future.
