Parvati presents PETRAN in this episode. This "In Between Worlds" live set contains an eclectic collection of Petran's music works. It showcases pieces from his work "InterMundos" EP, released on Parvati Records. The set is complemented with a selection of rare previous compositions. Petran began his musical journey by exploring a wide range of genres, performing as a guitarist and composer in various rock projects. As his passion for sound deepened, he dedicated over a decade to studying the science of sound in detail. During this time, he discovered psychedelic trance and embarked on a transformative voyage that took him across the globe—not just as a musician, but as an ever-evolving entity. Petran’s music seeks to sonically explore the perpetual nature of the universe, manipulating air pressure, redirecting electronic currents, and evoking altered states of consciousness.

experiment on variations...

Early in 2017 I performed a live mix on the 'Under the Spinfluence mixshow', broadcast from the Upper East Side, New York City. My goal with the mix was to showcase some styles of music and artists that don't get much attention in NYC, despite filling the dancefloor whenever I play them at Sunken Disco. In particular I wanted to focus on sample heavy Ghetto Funk / Nu Funk bootlegs and some choice house remixes. It's basically a funky bass-driven bootleg frenzy that ups the tempo towards the end. 

Unfortunately, the original recordings of the show had some issues with one of the stereo channels, so I recently re-recorded the mix at home (which is why it's taken me so long to post).
