After being contacted by the team at Club Fantastic, I really wanted to put a new single together that was both memorable and danceable. I've always admired Slyleaf's vocals on such a number of tracks and how much energy and power came from her writing - when she agreed to work with me on DNA, it felt like all of the right things came together.

This is my first duet on a song since my work on Futuresong, and represents my stepping out into new territory for me on a lot of levels - and finding it coming naturally to me after moving forward bravely.

hi!

here's my new song 'blast'. i haven't wrote some hard stuff in a while haha. i had a battle with writers block this week and came out on top, but sadly i didn't have as much time as i wanted to create this. therefore a lot of caffeine was needed to write this lol. was probably not a good idea lol. also some unconventional arrangement methods were used. anyways i learned a lot while making this as well as learning that there's still lots of room for improvement. i had a fun time writing this. hope you guys like it!
