STORIES TO TELL AT SEA

Led by vox/multi-instrumentalist Natalie London (author of memoir Lyme Light) "Hey, King!" is a triumphant and adventurous indie rock band full of raucous story telling, intricate orchestral arrangements, and childlike wonder.

In the midst of an exciting music career, a critical illness left London bedridden for over three years. She lost her memory and ability to walk, talk, read and write, spending her early twenties fighting for years to regain even the most basic skills. For the first time, London returned the studio in 2013 with her new band, "Hey, King!" filling the record with a heartfelt wanderlust and a newly found freedom grounded in London's rare true life chance at a brand new life. 

In their first year playing live (May 2014-April 2015) Hey, King! has shared the stage with: All-American Rejects, Youngblood Hawke, In the Valley Below, and The Lonely Wild at the El Rey in Los Angeles; Aaron Embry (Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros) at the Casbah in San Diego; and Cracker at the House of Blues main stage in Los Angeles. 

The live band consists of:
Natalie London - vox/guitar
Jordan English - banjo/guitar/vox
Dylan Streshly - bass/vox
Corey Wickline - trumpet
Carlson Miller - drums (east coast)
Abraham Zilkha - drums (west coast)

As well as a rotation of french horn, tuba, and piano/harmonium

Hey, King! is influenced by artists such as: Sufjan Stevens, The White Stripes, Two Gallants, Edward Sharpe, and Arcade Fire.
