Berlin's FLASH Recordings is a leading underground imprint of the finest techno, headed up by Florian Meindl, and admired around the world. The latest release contains four original works plus a special bonus track that was previously a vinyl only selection on FLASH, and that was featured on Fiedel's recent Berghain 08 Mix CD for Ostgut Ton. Italian-Berliner known as Avgusto, who is a key artist of FLASH with numerous EP's and remixes for the label. His contributions can also be logged for the likes of Kaputt, Elektrax, !Organism and Amazone also, as he continues to be noted as an exciting producer. The tracks range from raving, high octane club weapons, to more hypnotic, driving sounds that have a powerful and gritty vibe all round.

Spektre are back on Phobiq presenting their latest sound, titled “Nightshade EP”. The title track sets the tone providing a bouncy bassline followed by atmospheric synth strings and some more intense percussions kicks . On “Serpentine” we are introduced to a more futuristic approach with soaring synths and stomping bass mixing up throughout the track providing an overall spacious vibe. Closing up the EP is “Macon Heights” with its groovy electronics and looped-out vocal snippets creating an epic momentum.

The new release on Markantonio's label AnalyticTrail is a three track techno EP "Octave Shift" and a collaboration between the label boss himself and Atroxx.

Sticking with the dancefloor focus, "Give Me" is second on the EP with a dark atmosphere lead by a thundering kick drum and claps that are full of impact. With haunting vocals adding to the tension, it’s the arpeggiating lead synth that provides the driving force.

DJ Jock makes his second appearance on phobiq and guise you three perfect productions for his latest creation, “The Binding of Fenrir”. The title track is first up and begins with groovy inspired drum work and some deep dark sounds while rolling synths take control and push the momentum even further. Things get serious on “Catacombs” with pumping pads and persistent percussion creating a mysterious dark energy. Last but not least we are introduced to “Ravaged Fields” and take a ride through rolling snares, huge bass and apocalyptic synths giving it a more “heads down” approach, yet keeping the groove steady.

The EP kicks off with 'Made In Detroit', a bigroom chord-techno anthem.

'Acid House' delivers what the name promises, a stripped back beat is topped by a massive acid line and eponymous vocals.

'Temptation' follows a similar vein as 'Made In Detroit' adding a memorable vocal and massive pads in its break.

Berlin's techno stalwart DJ Emerson delivers a deadly functional stripped back remix, taking things to an even more straightforward direction.
