기억 (記憶)

이전의 인상이나 경험을 의식 속에 간직하거나 도로 생각해 냄

기억은 우리의 의지와 상관없이 모든 것을 휩쓸고 만다.
때론 우릴 가라앉게 만들거나, 떠오르게 만들기도 한다.

기억은 마치 예고 없이 밀려오는 파도와 닮았다.
파도는 한번 몸을 맡기면 어디로 휩쓸려 갈지 아무도 모른다.

기억도 그렇다.

예고 없이 떠오르는 기억에 누군가는 좌절할 수도,
누군가는 다시 일어설 수도 있다.

그래서 내게 기억은 파도와 같은 존재다.

Memory sweeps everything regardless of our will.
Sometimes it makes us sink or rise.

Memories resemble unannounced waves.
No one knows where you will be swept once you leave your body to the waves.

Someone might be frustrated by the unannounced memory,
Someone might get back on their feet.

So for me, memories are like waves.
