What was originally supposed to be a collaboration between Es and Introspect turned into Homegrown' 1st recording. Recorded in 2 separate studios (Mr.Blue's studio in Toronto and Clark Holden's studio in Mississauga) - footage of both studio sessions can be seen in the Lep and Es videos found on the Homegrown page. Produced by Euphonic, "Bin Doin This" captures that 90s raw, gritty, grimy, underground, get your hands dirty, no-holds bar essence of Homegrown. Each verse is unique and packed with enough lyrical dosage to cure your headache from all the corny pop manufactured music that surrounds us on the radio. Each emcee showcases their individual style and what they bring to the table. It was polished off with raw cuts from DJ Docta Def (of Analog Soundcrew). "Bin Doin This" set the standard for what you can expect from Lep, iNA, Es, Introspect aKa the Homegrown monsters.

Homegrown - Bin Doin This

“STRUCTURE” is unique in many ways. 

First, the concept of the track is that each emcee describes how they structure their verse, through a metaphor. Also unique to this track is that we use 2 different hooks throughout the song. The first hook (by Lep) you can hear after Es’ verse and the 2nd hook (by Es) you hear after iNA’s verses. The track order worked to perfection as Es sets it off, explaining how a proper hip hop verse should be structured in detail from start to end. iNA follows suit with explaining the structure of his verse through a night out! Introspect draws the similes of constructing a verse to a gym work out. And Lep finishes the track with a descriptive metaphor of structuring his verse as if he was putting together the Homegrown monster himself! The beat was produced by John P, exclusively for Homegrown and the cuts were provided by Solar C! Overall the unique concept; unique verses; and lyrics that paint pictures; are all part of the formula of a well structured hip hop track! You should expect no less from the Homegrown monsters known as Es, iNA, Lep, and Introspect. Recorded by Clark Holden and mixed by MrBlue (iQ, Basement Theory).

No this ain't the Beatles - Homegrown took the concept and made it their own. Produced by Elaquent, "Day in the Life" lets you follow iNA, Introspect, Es, Lep, and Laila as they give you a perspective of their journeys throughout the Day. It's only fitting that iNA's day starts at "6:36 in the AM" and ends with Lep "going to the lab, to drop a verse such as this one on a Homegrown collab."
