The summer of 2011 welcomed the self-titled debut album from Hollie Cook. Hollie’s self-coined ‘Tropical pop’ sound stems from her passion for reggae singers Janet Kay and Phyllis Dillon combined with classic 60s girl groups. The album is produced by friend and collaborator Mike Pelanconi, better known as Prince Fatty. The debut single ‘That Very Night’ is currently making waves across radio, with Steve Lamacq (BBC Radio 2/6 Music), John Kennedy (XFM) and David Rodigan (Kiss) among her many supporters.  The album includes a cover of Shangri-Las’ ‘(Remember) Walkin’ In The Sand)’; transformed from a dark emotive song to one filled with a flavour of hope. The talents of Omar, Dennis Bovell, George Decker (The Pioneers), Style Scott and Horseman also feature across the album.

"Ven, dame tu amor" es el primer sencillo del nuevo disco de Jamaica 69, un EP de 4 canciones  de titulo "A toda velocidad" bajo el sello TNT DISCOS. En este nuevo disco, se descubre una evolución musical y experimental hacia otros estilos como el Boogaloo o el Latin Soul. Ademas de contar con la brillante participación de Cristina Flores en la voz.
"Ven, dame tu amor" y "Me sienta bien" (son los dos temas seleccionados para formar parte de una edición limitada en formato vinilo, a 45rpm solo 200 copias. A su vez el EP (ya con los 4 temas) se podrá conseguir en CD y estará disponible el 20 de Junio en la presentación del Foro Alicia.

21 years after starting what is the world’s longest running consecutive club session – the Brighton Jazz Rooms – comes this celebratory compilation album on Mr Bongo Records presented by its founder Russ Dewbury.

Musically the Jazz Rooms did not follow any fad or fashion. Rather it created its own and this has been the key to its success and is reflected in the album's track selection. If it's good, it gets played at the Jazz Rooms.

Over the years, just about everybody in the scene has manned the decks at the night. Luminaries include Gilles Peterson, Baz Fe Jazz, Paul Murphy and guests from all over the world such as Rainer Truby, Kyoto Jazz Massive, Espen Horne and many more. Legendary US keyboardist Weldon Irvine described it as "an international brotherhood" while Straight No Chaser Magazine called it "a legendary affair that all should attend."

Originally signed to BGP Records as A+R chief, Dewbury was instrumental in the rediscovery of artists including Jean Jacques Perrey and Terry Callier, who he subsequently managed. His own albums include the compilations Africa Funkand Club Africa on Strut Records and Freedom Time and Jazz Bizniz on Counterpoint Records. His last compilation Pulp Fusion/Africa Funk released on Harmless Records achieved significant sales around the globe.
