I recalled the version from nearly five years ago and noticed subtle differences—delicate nuances, but also deeper, more intricate transformations that resonate on an entirely new level. This recording is like an echo of a lost consciousness—evocative, poignant, carrying a quiet power through its atmosphere and title. Severed From The Source—a phrase that speaks of something torn from its roots, stripped of its foundation, drifting through space without an anchor.  How much psychology and exploration of human condition lie within! In the darkness of this composition, the mark of our times is reflected—a time when we have lost ourselves as a society, as humanity. In the previous version, I primarily perceived shadows, a soundscape woven from echoes, but today, I realize the importance of looking deeper—into the inspirations, the forces that shaped this piece and gave it its unsettling, mesmerizing soul. I don't know if it's my imagination but this version sounds a little bleaker than the original (which is already bleak of course) - beautifully dark and filmic production on this, look forward to the new album Pasi!
