Oscillate Tracks 002 is the second compilation from the Oscillate crew who have been running the successful event series at ://about blank for just over 4 years. After the sell-out launch of their first record, their second compilation EP is highly anticipated. This time with Melbourne based producer Hymns, known for his beautifully restrained, spacious electro, Superhexagon regular J. Wiltshire, crossing over into his own glistening take on modern dubstep, Schloss Records founder Karima F whose percussion and berserk melodies know no bounds and Perth-based artist Peter McAvan, upheaving all expectations with his surprising rhythms and syncopation. Diverse, yet of the same palette, this record paints a dreamy yet powerful picture.

Introducing Sha Ru - the new joint project from producers Ma Sha and Rù fueled by a persuasive fusion of balearic downtempo cuts and rich acid filth.

Drawing influences from the sounds of breakbeat, club, hip-hop, and UK bass, Sha Ru’s debut release “Near The Equinoxes” is a rich and exciting collection of cuts out November 8th via Brooklyn’s Sorry Records. The EP features “PCCCC (Lechuga Zafiro Remix)” — a club-ready take from Uruguayan producer Lechuga Zafiro who is known for his incredible releases through Mexico City’s N.A.A.F.I collective and his own Salviatek label/party.

Sorry Records is a Brooklyn based record label putting out beloved dance and pop music world wide. "French activists No3sis and Haxo (the duo of Background & Jeanne) co-found Syrinx Music, which debuts with its first various release, PILOTE. The aim of the label is to promote music working in the crossroads and spectrum between experimental music and electronic music, finding paths between noise and dubstep, breaks and drone, electroacoustic music and techno. The first release brings together six tracks from French artists, showcasing different takes on these sounds. 

PILOTE's digital release comes out on July 10, with a physical release to follow in late-August in the form of a tape (+ bonus custom dubplate version for a few lucky buyers)"

“Music is a healing process for me.  I guess I'm just trying imbue these structured sequenced sounds with a chaotic and maybe more soulful natural flow. Water has always been in my imagery now i think about the growth it provides, but specifically for me and my music progress I’m just excited to share how far I've come.  In a more afrofuturistic sci-fi or even shamanistic indigenous or biblical way of viewing growth and birth and the garden I like the concepts of the Earth itself birthing black people with these HeLa cells from the soil. Maybe these are lullabies to those souls at the softer moments and birth pains when it intensifies but overall its definitely just me trying to make Detroit dance music using the tried and true formulas with some noise from Lansing mixed in there. thanks!”

Equalizer Detroit w/ HeLa Negative (Threads*DETROIT) - 23-Jul-20

He awoke disorientated, his vision blurred in the early morning light. His face had been stuck to the lino floor in the kitchen, seems he hadn't made it up the stairs to bed then. The stench of cigarette smoke clung to the air and the fumes of undisclosed alcohol spillages travelled up his nostrils. Everybody had already made their escape before morning (and the inevitable regret) had begun to creep in, and as usual he'd been left to pick up the pieces.

Last month we shared the news of Brighton-based party starters Accidental Meetings taking their first steps into the label world, enlisting the help of friends and family with close ties to the party to contribute tracks to their mammoth compilation. After lockdown left the crew with no events in sight, they made a pledge to pull together the 21-track offering which journeys through the electronic sounds that will be at the core of the label in the future. From dancehall and electro to UK techno and breaks, the release features cuts from the likes of Chungo, Charles Green, Alexis, Caldera, ZaaZaa, Kincaid and DJ Tess, which we premiered last month.
