Once you sail through the mouth of the Mississippi River, one of the first places you will pass through is the home of Higgnz. Every aspect of this artist demeanor is a complete embodiment of his home state, Louisiana. Known for his high energy performances, he brings back what people loved about Hip Hop concerts during the golden era of the genre. As artist look to find ways to remain relevant in today’s pop culture, he vastly reinvented himself. His Fusion of Rock, country, blues, and Southern Rap Instrumentals over his unique accent and emotion can easily captivate any audience.

                The rich culture and history of his birthplace have been a major influence on his writing style and it is highly glorified in each lyric. His subject matter is a perfect gumbo of the heritage, parties, politics, blue collar life style, and the everyday struggles of an American citizen raised in the deep south. Although he writes a lot of songs that are reality based, Higgnz always finds a way to uplift spirits with good vibes and something to dance to.

                Although Higgnz newest album, Brackish, is first major digital project, he is no beginner to his craft. He has performed as a solo artist for the entire millennium while also joining many group projects such as, KawCajun, C.P.C. (Cross Parish Connect), and Sol Trybe. This highly experienced emcee will captivate a stage as well as any major label veteran in the mainstream today. His live performance resume’ list a large portion of the many venues across the Louisiana region.

                Today, the South has taken Hip Hop in with it’s genuine hospitality and decorated it into multi- sub genres. Higgnz has always predicted him self on always being versatile emcee. His all around versatility gives him the ability to collaborate with any artist he has the pleasure of working with. With the southerners’ roots being imbedded in the underground Hip Hop scene, predominately hardcore, he continues to remain true to his out spoken style. At the same, being able to exploit an honest level of maturity that no one cannot put a price on.
