Nowadays Live and Direct returns after a long hiatus with a 5-hour recording from Carlos Souffront (@csouffront), recorded from 10 am - 3 pm at our Halloween Nonstop party on October 29, 2022. Carlos returns to Nowadays for another Nonstop set this weekend, playing from 3 pm to 6 pm Sunday afternoon.

A regular at Interdimensional Transmissions' No Way Back parties in Detroit and beyond, Carlos Souffront brings a brilliant sense of creative alchemy to the decks, combining years of experience and digging with a sensibility like no other. Abstract rhythms meld together into inexplicable chaos magic. Dark, shadowy selves emerge, ready to be explored with a sense of mischief and playfulness, carried through by an acid bassline or cheeky vocal.

For this extended Halloween set during the real witching hours, Carlos summoned all of the party gremlins, goblins, and ghouls to the Nowadays dancefloor for the ultimate seance.

Some guys have all the luck. Some take the easy route. Some pick the low hanging fruit. And then there's the High + Tight crew. For the last 10 years High + Tight have been throwing some of the seemingly most effortless parties on the planet. Every detail worked out, from sound to decor to door policy. There may be louder parties. There are certainly bigger parties. There are flashier flyers sprinkled with piss in every commode this side of Pike Place Market. And these guys wouldn't want it any other way. The thought that goes into a High + Tight party means you are getting an experience, an environment: set and setting. And they put just as much thought into their DJ sets. An insatiable hunger for dance floor knowledge both old and new, their work is your gain. But they also know that longer sets for headliners sometimes means taking the back seat. And they do so gladly. When the moment is right, they aren't shy about playing the right music for the right moment. Knowing the arc of the night. Letting the crowd down easy. Keep 'em wanting more. Share in their community and get lost for a lifetime.
