Having already made waves with individual releases on labels such as Upon You, Rotary Cocktail and Memento records, he is now ready to offer a brilliant off-killer old school four to the floor and breakbeat single. 

"Random memory" came out from Petros persistence on nineties Rave culture and in-search of the remnants dance floor euphoria. Organ chords, reversed vocals and Jupiter8 synth basslines to form a bold production that sits somewhere between the early morning techno dancefloors of Berlin and the murky sweatbox raves of late-night South London. 



On the remix duties we invited Quell, an artist known for his releases on Ibadan Records, Pokerflat and 2020 Vision to name a few. His drum machine-laden rhythm tracks, and melodic experiments have enchanted the hearts of elite dance music tastemakers left and right.

Quell gives his own stamp to the original track which leans closer to a UK style of dubbed out bass coupled with an estranged yet futuristic touch of deep house.

My Favorite Robot/Cocoon mainstays Villanova ramp up for their first release on OFFwith two original tracks and an appearance by raw tech aficionado Echonomist on remix duty.
The French duo stray from their prevailing blend of sensual house, crafting a darker aesthetic fit for the label’s newfound coordinates.

First up is Control, a restrained yet uplifting cut. The steady beat and pulsating bassline are kept at bay, creating a tense yet solid atmosphere. Polyphonic synths interlaced with metallic ricochets are key condiments that make their presence on the second track as well.

Divago sets off with techtronic synths and accelerating beats, gradually ascending and building up tension throughout the entire track. The relieving peak point is thus replaced by an exhilarating “hands-in-the-air” moment of maximum impact.

Echonomist’s take on Divago is straightforward from the kickoff. Sectioning off original elements, and keeping the focus on bassline and percussion, the cut is reconstructed into an unrelenting late-night groove. The producer manages to imprint his biting style of thumping dark tech, in a rework that perfectly complements the inital composition.

A native of Thessaloniki, Greece, Petros Mangaris aka EcHonomist has been moulding his sound for over a decade, and with his highly original productions has become a rising star in the Techno scene. His trademark live sets combine pumping beats with intricate musical programming and infectious melodic rhythms. EcHonomist will be showcasing his sound on Motek as a remixer in the summer, in the meanwhile, enjoy this podcast showcasing the DJ side of the artist, with a groovy one hour journey into House and Techno.

Greek DJ and producer Echonomist, who's work had graced Dessous, Dien and Aeon, lands at New Violence doors armed with his Sunday Brunch. 

Early support from Guy Gerber, Marco Resmann, Adam Beyer and more

The title track is a timeless underground gem, that draws on classic techno references, while sounding as fresh as can be, with its subtle changes, drawing you in, and hypnotising you with its mystical feel, before cheekily phatteneing things up in the drop and picking the pace up taking us to the next level. 

Belgian born Sierra Sam, now residing in Berlin, has released on R&S, Dirt Crew, Supplement Facts,as well as co-profucing for Suburban Knight (UR, Peacefrog), and label managing Contexterrior and TuningSpork. His update of Sunday Brunch takes us firmly in to the techno arena, toughening up the vibe, and adding a Detroity nod to proceedings, utilising the pads from the original superbly.

The second original track is called 'Saturday Night Drive' and its a swaggering, vocal sampling, rising toned deep slab of techness that packs a serious punch, and oozes of class.
