"Instead of doing yet another promo mix that incorporates a song or two from our new album, I thought it would be fun for me & Phill to each do a 30 minute mix of Hip Hop from our respective areas. I'm from Southampton, and since that's not a very big place I thought it would be more fitting to play some of my favourite old UK Hip Hop records. Philadelphia always had a healthy Hip Hop scene that boasted famous artists such as DJ Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince, Cash Money & Marvelous and Steady B just to name a few. Phill wanted to showcase some of the more obscure/random Rap records from Philly that he loves."

As a warm-up to this year's Shambala Festival, here's a special DJ mix from the archives of legendary Birmingham institution, Jibbering Records.

Compiled & mixed by Mr Switch, who was given special access to the remaining back catalogue of the now-defunct Moseley record shop, and presents here the finest selection of funk, latin, reggae & world music (with a few surprises thrown in for good measure!)

Mixed using 100% original vinyl, every sound drawn solely from the Jibbering vaults, this podcast is a prelude to Mr Switch's live Jibbering Records showcase at Shambala - which you can catch live on Sunday at the World Music stage from 8-9 pm, or as a podcast which will be uploaded post-Shambala.

This is an Album I made entirely from blind bought charity shop records. Basically each track is made from £5 of records I bought at random from different charity shops around bristol. Each track is a different shop. I also recorded interviews with the owners that you can hear occasionally. 

All sound are made from what I found I did not add my own drum samples or use any vst instruments.

So after an amazing week in Baku Azerbaijan I decided to dedicate that week at the Redbull 3style World Mixing finals with a Podcast. It was the perfect opportunity to work on something that was very inspiring. This mix showcases all my varied styles of music I like to encompass in a Krafty set, in the typical style of the Redbull competition. Utilising 3 styles of music in my case a lot more which gave me the opportunity to dig deep, pull out some funky tunes, blend, scratch and mix a heap of Kraftyness. Being a judge at this event, spending time with the likes of Jazzy Jeff, Skratch Bastid, D-Styles, Q_bert & Shortkut Z Trip, & more I came away feeling blessed & inspired by all of these incredible artists. Big shout to the organiser Kenny Macintrye from Redbull  and everyone  involved for helping me become a better DJ and witness some of the true masters at there craft.

Last month on 25th of May we released Savages - Five FInger Discount but we also celebrated our 2-year anniversary! Melting Records was started on 25th of May 2014 with the release of Kognitif's LP - My Space World. 

From the magnificent album of Skinshape LP and compilation Tales of Another Direction to JIM Beatmaker - Spark From The Past LP and from SomehowArt - Flat Reality LP to Apanemic - A Thousand Secrets EP the label grew up its catalogue. And lastly, the gem masterpiece album of Savages - Five Finger Discount was released last month. 

6 vinyl records and 1 CD. When we first started this record label, we never planned to go so long ! So, we want to thank all of you for CONTINUING TO SUPPORTING US and digging our stuff. 

We wish you all the best for this summer, and we give a meeting this autumn with fresh stuff and more vinyl records! BIG THANKS to DJ Moya for taking the time to host this mixtape and also for the special scratches !
