The Parlangua - Soundtrack (excerpts)

The sequel to the New Jack swanky rhythm, Diamond Palace Zone which I wrote over 2 years ago now. Some have suggested a sequel and I thought it'd be good to do one. I took some notes from how the OG Sonic soundtrack would keep motifs and stuff from Act 1 and either switch it up entirely or just amp it a little for Act 2. I kept the New Jack feel but there is a little less swing and a slightly faster tempo to Act 1.

I decided to incorporate a solo this time around, to give this act a little extra flair and give it a more ambient feel as if the level has expanded and got fresher things on display.

Diamond Palace Zone - Act 2

Deepertale is an AU that takes place in the aftermath of a nearly complete Genocide Run. Alphys has hidden all the survivors in the True Lab. Flowey was the only one who got in the human's way and lived to tell the tale (and that was by escaping within an inch of his life). The human has chosen not to erase the timeline yet, and walks the dusty Underground while down further below the monsters cower in fear. Snowdrake's mother takes the role of Toriel, and she's hidden away in a secret section of the lab Alphys built for her. It's a massive walk-in freezer. No one really knows about it, but even if they did, they wouldn't want to be there. If the temperature wouldn't ward them off, the atmosphere of pure misery would.
