Into The Daylight

High Heavens plays tuneful post-psych from the black heart of Austin, Texas. 

Their latest release is a 3 song EP called "The Outside" and was recorded in early 2024 once again with Stuart Sikes producing.

The band currently includes longstanding music veterans Justin Bankston (Winslow), Ernest Salaz (I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness, Glorium), and ex-Ignorance Park members Bobby Chapa, Ehren Lorfing along with the poetic charms of John Matthew Walker on vocals.

Bonding over classic psych and kosmische, girl groups, primitive soul and glam, the band first performed in November 2018, recorded its first single "Vermouth on Ice" in Sept. 2019, and their first album "Springtime Don't Call" in June 2020 all by Austin, TX. producer Stuart Sikes.

After the release of the album, the first lineup broke up during the pandemic, resulting in the release of "Life is a Loan Shark" and "100 Bullets" which was all done in the studio, with George Lara (bass), and Juan Miguel Ramos (drums) from Glorium, Jeremy Erwin (the band's original synth player), and Conrad Keely from ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead.
