Monolith

Whiteface Mountain is the 5th highest mountain in the state of New York, and one of the High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains. The summit offers a 360-degree view of the Adirondack Park. On a clear day, the skyscrapers of Montreal Canada are viewable, at nearly 80 miles away. Whiteface was the main ski venue of the 1980 Winter Olympics, and is still a US Olympic training site to this day. Whiteface offers the largest vertical drop of any mountain, east of the Rockies.
