Oscillations and temperament.

This is the sound of a Peavey 1200 console's effects loop signal path being inverted and fed back to itself. A complete mistake, but paired with an old quadraphonic tuner and a delay pedal, this live recording is dear to me.

LITMUS

After the success of their debut EP "Generation Why", creative forces have overtaken The Noolands and questions about the very fabric of their existence have been raised. The continued, looming friction of "the industry" has caused a break in the band's understanding of the world they live in. Everything they'd ever been told was true, but they continue to trust in themselves and in their best friends. 

Through a series of serendipitous events, a song was recorded called "Record Man". The song that is the very subject matter the lyrics consistently poke at and represents the important decisions a band must make. One day maybe we too will be grasped by the hands of the record man.

High Road Pilots is Liam Davey, Jack Davey, Mike Spencer and Scott Grinton.

The bond between family and music has been prevalent across the rock n roll landscape. But in terms of the High Road Pilots, the culmination of diverse schools of music and the ongoing desire to experiment and improve, has led them to a style unto themselves. Loyal to the tenements of rock n roll yet daring in unexplored sounds and hooks that could not be derived. 

It is easy to venture out in the world and proclaim an artist to be extraordinary, but this is a group that backs up those call to the masses for the next great band. They are a cast of actors that can create, produce their own work, and most importantly, give you a performance that is second to none. You are a part of their show because they are you and we are all together. 

With the upcoming release of their new album, Yonder, it begs the question on just how far it goes. It's a true celebration of everything we look for as music lovers, and the sky is the limit as to where they go next.
