Fresh from the release of his "Diaframma" EP on none other than the legendary Perlon label, we're extremely happy to have Italian-born, now Berlin-based Caruan back on our podcast series. After having had him on the Live Moments in 2019, the eclectic artist and Deset Records boss returns with an equally eclectic selection on this 1.5 hours mix, ranging from breaky electronic numbers to faster, sizzling rhythms and groovy house ballads. This mix is the 2nd part of Gaetano's set at the last Get Perlonized party which took place on the 4th of November at Hoppetosse in Berlin. As always happens, he decided to go vinyl only for this one, showcasing an excellent taste and also great mixing skills that led him to play numerous times in Venice's finest After Caposile, Dimensions Festival, Tenax, UNUM, and CDV just to name a few. "Macaj" representa o lado artístico minimalista de Marco Castro. Marco, desde sempre, aprofundou-se em pesquisas que passeiam entre os gêneros: Minimal/Microhouse/Deep Tech/Dub e assim, criou a Kematiky, núcleo que predominantemente produzia eventos voltados à essas vertentes. Há alguns anos, utilizando o nome "Marco Castro" ele vem renovando suas referências e fazendo performances diferentes de antes, que baseiam-se em: House/Electro/Progressive House/Breaks, e com isso, sentiu a necessidade de definir melhor essas duas personalidades, por se tratarem de estruturas diferentes: uma mais introspectiva e outra mais aberta. Dentro dessa nova proposta, Macaj deixa fluir um lado mais mental, um som que exige mais atenção aos detalhes, abusando das variações em graves, mixagens mais lentas, storytelling e também, menos vocais. Nesse set, é demonstrado um pouco do que estamos falando.

The first episode in 2023 is recorded by Chevi. I personally like the style and vibe of his tracks which are groovy, energy and kind of hypnotic. In this mix Chevi delivers a fine representation of his musical interpretation of the minimal/deep-tech genre. A selection of dark and light smooth sounds together with groovy-driving bass lines to bring you into a very delightful trip. Mix contains own production track! Chevi is a DJ, producer and musician born in Lima-Peru. He started his career in 2017 and currently experimenting with all types of music genres that he’s most passionate about, to craft a unique sound that characterises him and makes him stand out from the rest in the scene.
