Our first release of 2022 comes from a producer who’s no stranger to the TGP family. Rising star Yoko returns to the label for her three-track EP “Where The Ferns Are” on Friday, January 14th. This release takes a different approach to what fans usually take in, opting for a downtempo adventure filled with emotions.

Yoko begins the EP with her title track, “Where The Ferns Are”. A gorgeous entrance takes you into the forest that provides an ambient feel. The smooth sound of jazz can be heard throughout as this journey through sound unfolds. The next track, “Weeping Willow”, takes a different approach, bringing more of a familiar crunchy bass sound while still leaving plenty of room for the track to breathe with a somber mood and environment, accompanied by a slow, chilling percussion. The mood is captured in an incredible way as you continue this journey. The final track, “Dreams of Wisteria”, is Yoko’s most emotional track yet. Going off the deep end once again, this story ends as the sun goes down. Overall, this EP shines as Yoko combines her unique style of music with an epic of storytelling proportions.

A welcome and upbeat Electro Swing return on this collaboration between the prolific American producer Riff Kitten and Brit vocalist Alanna Lyes. Here the high energy vocal combines with a driving bass and drum groove, chorus hooks and trademark piano licks, all interspersed with call and response sax and trumpet making for a propulsive toe tapper.

This is my set from Shambhala 2016. The set was at The Grove stage, 7 pm Saturday evening. Big love to everyone that made it out, and it's all love if you couldn't make it. 

This is one of the most epic stages I have ever had the honour of gracing. The Grove has evolved to capture the original feel of Shambhala where artists of all mediums collaborate and showcase their art. I'm humbled to have had the opportunity.
