Agraba is definitely one of the main artists in Highway Records roster. After a long hiatus he's back on the label with a collection of new remixes of 'Phoenix' - mystic track with an interesting story behind it. It was produced more than 10 years ago, played by many DJs all over the world and marked Agraba as one of the biggest artists on the scene. At the same time 'Phoenix' was never officially released. Now this massive groover sees the light with brand new remixes made by Highway Records core artists Bu.Di, Dj Skif and Paysage, label newcomers Basaar and Kirill Borodulev, as well as mighty Mike Spirit and Asaga duo Come Closer, known for their previous releases on Renaissance and Mobilee Records, now making their debut on Highway Records with a huge reinterpretation of 'Phoenix'.

La dupla Mike Spirit & Asaga afila su lenguaje club en “Big Bada Smile”, un corte que condensa el ADN de Come Closer: groove inmediato, bajo elástico y una arquitectura rítmica que respira orgánica mientras empuja hacia el trance melódico. Las percusiones —bien esculpidas, en capas— se enredan con una línea principal luminosa que no recurre al tópico del “break épico”: aquí el clímax está en el vaivén hipnótico, en el detalle micro, en cómo cada elemento encuentra aire.

El track funciona como tarjeta de presentación de One Bro, el álbum debut de Come Closer en Magic Tribe Music, donde el dúo pule años de cabina y estudio en un sonido que flirtea con el afro-y latin-rhythm desde una estética mínima europea. “Big Bada Smile” es frontal en club, sí, pero suena vivo: hi-hats humanos, congas que sostienen el pulso y un bajo que camina sin prisa, perfecto para esa franja que separa la medianoche del primer rayo de festival.

Hay dramaturgia, pero sin artificio: un breakdown breve que abre la mezcla, una respuesta melódica tersa y un retorno firme del kick para volver a la pista con más oxígeno. Profundidad sin exceso de reverb, calidez sin caer en lo “tropical”, progresión sin pirotecnia. Si la tesis del proyecto es unir energía de directo con raíz club, “Big Bada Smile” la defiende con una sonrisa de fondo y los pies en la tierra.
