'Moff & Tarkin'  is contrary to popular belief just one Icelandic dude name Magnus. Currently based in Vienna, Magnus spends a lot of time trying to make something that is not house (and of course playing it too). For some reason however, it always ends up kinda house-ish, but with a little twist - and to us it's this little twist that does it. The track 'Midnight Curfew' has indeed a feel-good vibe too it with Chaka Khan-samples and playful percussions. We truly recommend that you keep an eye and an ear out for this talent!

EXCLUSIVE: Moff & Tarkin - Midnight Curfew

London-based DJ/producer @Vorres has been around for a while - worked for Juno, founded @SccucciManucci, is the owner of @Black-venison and has an upcoming EP on a somewhat known label called @defectedrecords. He is a true taste-maker, lover of vinyl and analogue gear - and as he puts it in his own words "I make music, the old fashioned way! I play music the old fashioned way…”. He was kind enough to share a piece of his with us.

The track is burning slow at 110bpm, the ingredients being bouncy percussion, a dash of acid, the vocal samples of a soul diva and last but not least the hats. Just a perfect blend.

Kumquat is a duo reigning from Amsterdam with releases on A Friend In Need & Kyoku Records. In there upcoming EP Down By Law with remixes from the likes of Al Zanders, our very own Sune got the chance to remix their track Take Care. A beautiful original that Sune made his own interpretation off. Imagine driving a red cabriolet along a coastal road with nothing but blue skies above you. Please enjoy.

A track from our own @carlrichter, originally written five years ago, featuring spoken word of Rahsaan Roland Kirk (1935-1977), American jazz multi-instrumentalist who was renowned for his onstage vitality and his ability to play several instruments simultaneously. Here an excerpt from his "Bright Moments" (https://youtu.be/0z2E7ZWd0Hc) is used in the foundation in an hommage to all those who - just like ourselves  - are Saturday night people.

Sometimes good music can actually be for free, like in the case with our one-off's. Next up as a contributor is Dublin-based DJ M4A4 who graces us with a lo-fi number called "Sciences", made together with Philip Box.

M4A4 has only been producing for about a year but you can tell right away from listening to his previous tracks that we're looking at pure producing talent here. This is confirmed yet again with "Sciences" where lush pads, raw percussions and one of the illest basslines we heard for a while combines to create an irresistable under water-lo-fi groover. "The word cantinflear came to describe the very special way of speaking of the character Cantinflas, created by Mexican comedian Mario Moreno Reyes, and in 1992 the Spanish Royal Academy included that word as a verb in its dictionary, in addition to cantinfleada and Cantinflas."

EXCLUSIVE: DJ Windows 7 - Cantinfleando

As you might have noticed, we do like to share tracks with stories. It might have been forgotten for some time just to arise to the surface at a better point in time and sound better than ever, like in this case.

This track was crafted by the duo BONJ in the outskirts of Stockholm in early 2016 and set to be released on their first ever vinyl release in early 2017 on a favorite label. BONJ were excited as you can imagine but as it happens far to often the release was postponed to late 2017, early 2018, late 2018.. 
You already know where we are going with this. The passion for the project was somewhat lost while waiting and eventually the two pals put the BONJ project on ice, just – of course - to give birth to another one focusing on a slightly different interpretation of electronic music.

Bad luck? Poor choices? Or just mismanaged labels? We have no clue, but we do know the time has finally come for this gem to see the light of day. The two Swedes serve up a laidback house production with that special timeless feel and a groove that truly sticks, and as always it is for free. We think that all of our friends will appreciate this one like we do.

EXCLUSIVE: BONJ - Eat Me

We continue our quest to spread timeless colorful house music that most likely wouldn't have reached your ears and souls otherwise – this time from homie Stefan Seay out of LA and topped with some world class sax playing from ITAI.

"I came up with the original concept of the song while attending Desert Hearts festival. It had been my first time back at a festival in five years and I just wanted to make a Sade edit almost as a right of passage. I wanted to keep it a bit strip down and lo-fi to let the emotions of her voice shine through. I completed the song exactly as it is without the saxophone and played that around for about a month until I gave into my gut instinct that I had to add an original saxophone solo both to elevate the song as well as to pay homage to the original as it has a great solo at the end. ITAI agreed to bless the song and did just that in literally two takes, it was the most pro thing I have ever witnessed. Hope you like it 🙂"

IDEE are a house music duo from Southampton formed by Jayden Reed and Ben Selfe. Having met in their first year of university, we can surely confirm that these guys already have a degree in the art of creating  captivating filter house tracks, and 'I Remember' is no exception.

'Get Higher' with AFAMoo, our tip of the day :) Simply, a house track that pulls all our strings, at any given point – and most likely yours too.

AFAMoo was born in 1995, and is a Japanse House Producer / DJ. In 2016 his 1st EP was released by Pogo House Records in London. Since then, releases has followed on labels like House Cookin' and RAWCAST, and in November 2018 his 3rd EP “You Called And Told Me” was released on 12 inch vinyl from Lobster Theremin, which we believe says a lot about a lot.
