Composer's note:
I was told to make something that's rhythmically consistent.
And I said to myself, "Oh, this is easy!"
I got stuck on a 16 bars sketch.

After feeling defeated, I found the original melody of this song sitting in my drive for another unfinished project.
It was perfect.
I asked if I can use it for the tournament and they said yes.

I tried to make something super emotionally resonant while being super energetic at the same time.
So I made a "Typical" hardcore structure, "Typical" hi-tech drop, and everything else just clicks into place.

After a lot of guidance and constantly revising the mix, this is the result.
It was an incredibly cathartic experience.

Long after, I found that this song has helped me through tons of depression episodes; times where I feel… not wanting to exist, times where I feel like music is the wrong thing to do, times where I've lost my friends and never being able to get over it... many such things.

Life told me that I could find diamond in the rough - a shining flower amidst the dull and piercing grass, beauty surrounded by horror... a sort of... Pandora's Box filled with all the bad things you can think of for a tiny glimmer of reward at the bottom of it.

The reason I kept going.

Well, that's just my interpretation.

I learned that despite how stressful life could be, no matter how bad things can get, everything will be okay in the end.
It's been hell. But it's not all bad too.

Despite the super strong urge of giving up, and even sometimes regretting that I chose the path I did,
I'm comfortable here,
and I wouldn't want to exchange this for anything else.
