Way to use all those loops earlier in the mix, superb sounding, all you need to do then is focus even more on those tracks and up their minimal building, or find more tracks that do that; that vibe probably is more focused for clubs/dances though. i straight up love those minimal moments though, best moments in techno are those types of moments

The latest Hijacked Techno Sessions sees a contribution from Detroit OG, Ray 7! 

Known for his productions on Underground Resistance as The Unknown Soldier and as the drummer for the Galaxy 2 Galaxy live band, Ray has travelled the world with techno music and in this latest mix, he offers us a flavour of more local talents. 

More recently Ray has been involved with Tec-Troit founder and former Hijacked Techno Sessions contributor, DJ Roach. As part of the two piece live act; NF - 2.

In Sessions #21 expect to hear a broad range of genres, mixed live and 'off the hip'!

Hijacked Techno Sessions #21 : Ray 7

Formed in 2007, Hijacked quickly established itself as a fundamental part of York’s underground scene, with a reputation for putting on nights with a fantastic atmosphere and great music, playing host to DJs and live acts from all over the UK, at clubs, free parties and festivals across the North of England.

Originally a breaks and electro night, Hijacked is a night that refuses to be confined. An open mind to music and to DJ’ing that has seen it evolve over the years, along with its supporters, residents, collaborators, promoters and DJs, to put on some of the most memorable nights on the underground scene. 

Recent years have seen the Hijacked residents return to their spiritual home of techno, establishing the night as one of York’ only out-and-out techno nights and differentiating it from the crowd with a unique sound, energy and atmosphere. The Hijacked residents themselves bring years of experience, quality and great taste in music to the floor, united as they are by a common taste for dark, underground music and dancing, as well as a passion for playing the music they love to people on the dance floor.

Taking up residency in Mansion Underground in 2013, Hijacked will be continuing to bring their unique sound to the party with some of the best established and up-and-coming names on the UK techno scene.
