Star B, aka Mark Broom & Riva Star, drop ‘Love Will Remain EP’ on Rekids.

Both Riva Starr and Mark Broom are respected DJs and prolific producers, with individual releases on the
likes of Rekids, Hot Creations, and Starr’s Snatch! Records, amongst others. Together as Star B, the duo
craft disco and funk-infused house and techno with expressive vocals and heavyweight production.

Leading the release, ‘Love Will Remain’ brings chunky, pumping drums, spoken word, and funky disco slices together for a grooving A-side. On the flip, ‘I’ve Got Joy’ heads for the club, combining synth stabs and rocking percussion under heavy-low end and spine-tingling vocals for a surefire party-starter.

Robert and Lyric Hood return as Floorplan to Classic Music Company with another double release of divine house goodness. 'We Give Thee Honor' is a high energy rave number with an instantly recognisable hook as a syncopated organ stab is juxtaposed with a wild vocal loop and unpredictable gospel interjections, creating the unique energy of worship in full flow. The second cut, 'Makes Me Wanna', has a more minimal approach to production, playing to Floorplan's club expertise. Two of the scenes foremost selectors in Timmy Trumpet and Bassjackers team up to deadly effect on this earth-shaking new hardstyle anthem ‘Classical Music’!

Playing on a recurring theme of classical music and how it can be traced within hardstyle, Timmy Trumpet and Bassjackers play with tempos, samples and whole genres in this experimental yet dancefloor-ready high-octane release ‘Classical Music’. The producer pairing strip things right back with their up to date, refreshing view on hardstyle and how it should sound at its core. Once his base layer is established, the producer team create contrasts between the elements of classical and hardstyle music, making for an exciting and unique listening experience.

Timmy Trumpet is a name that definitely needs no introduction in the scene, a recognisable name which can be found on the billings of the biggest and best festivals in the world. Timmy has shot to global stardom in the electronic music scene over the past few years headlining festivals like EDC, Creamfields, Tomorrowland and Sunburn, and was just voted the #5 DJ in the world in the DJ Mag Top 100. He first began touring in the US in 2014 when his breakout hit ‘Freaks’ went Gold, and globally reigned in more than half a billion streams. With all this under his belt already in recent times, the Aussie shows no signs of stopping with the release of ‘Classical Music’.

Bassjackers are a EDM DJ/producer duo who have been making waves in the scene ever since their breakout hit ‘Mush Mush’ was picked up and supported by Tiësto in 2011 on his label Musical Freedom. The pair haven’t looked back since this moment and continue to improve with every release, garnering more support from DJ’s and huge booking along the way. Smash The House have been avid supporters of Bassjackers over the years, manufacturing a healthy and beneficial relationship that allows the world to hear Bassjackers incredible ideas when it comes to producing dance music!

Mathias Kaden is back on Rekids after 2022’s ‘Blackbird’ EP, this time with the four-track ‘Circulate’ EP featuring a remix from the hotly tipped William Kiss. Kaden’s ‘Freedom’ kicks things off with stripped-back machine rhythm, tasteful stab melodies and a deeply satisfying low-end groove before an iconic gospel vocal joins in. Title track ‘Circulate’ is another infectious low-slung crawler with crunchy synth hits and a hypnotic and classy vibe that will get the dancefloor moving.

On the flip, William Kiss remixes Mathias Kaden’s ‘Freedom’ following his recent EP on Rekids' sibling label RSPX and the release of his collaborative project, Not Without Friends, with Luke Alessi and Jordan Brando on RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Rose Avenue. Kiss turns the track into a pumping peak-time cut with additional percussion and plenty of his signature Jackin’ flavour. Closing out the record, Kaden’s ‘Twisting Shadows’ introduces an acidic bassline and warped, dubbed-out vocals before dropping into an energetic trip.

Active since the mid-90s, Mathias Kaden appeared on Radio Slave’s Rekids for the first time in 2019 for ‘Liberate Drums’. He now returns to the label with the ‘Circulate’ EP, adding to his versatile discography on labels like Dyinamic and Vakantwhile also remixing work by Matthias Tanzmann, Onur Özer, Anja Schneider, and Trentemöller.
