Imagine waking up on a small, paradisiacal island in the middle of the Indian Ocean. The sun sends its first rays over the turquoise horizon and gently awakens you from your slumber. The sound of the waves and the soft chirping of exotic birds form the soundtrack of this special morning.

The island is already in a state of excitement. Preparations are being made everywhere: Colorful fairy lights are being hung between the palm trees, the stage is being set up and the first musicians are tuning their instruments. It is the beginning of the Maldives Open Air, one of the most fascinating open-air music festivals.
