in 2011, right before coming to college, I pulled out my crappy laptop and my new (very shoddy) guitar knowledge and sang a cover of Skinny Love. Five years later, I had pretty much abandoned the guitar idea, but hadn't stopped singing, and decided to record another Skinny Love for comparison. This is purely an exercise in navel-gazing. Feat. Ty Easley plinking his way through some chords at my behest.

so excited to show this to y'all. got introduced to this song through the glasper trio cover, which led me to the absolutely incredible original by the legend musiq soulchild. 

that's my guy sean nelson (@partlysean) on blues guitar. he also made the cover art. and the day 1 homie @kilcool came through with the mix. thanks to everyone who listened to me blast this from my room every day last summer.
