Multi-instrumentist since my young age, I developped my musical universe as DJ for few years. When I arrived in the medieval city of Dinan two years ago, I started to work on a new project of label called Estuary Tapes. inspired by brittany coasts, this was born in November with a compilation of artists I love. It reflects my musical influences beetween deep ambient, dub, breakbeat. I also started working with electronic stuff and producing. Sestrica indulges in nostalgic oblivion on her album titled "Memory Lane", organizing a session of deep self-therapy. Her silent musical poetry takes on song forms - Eugenia's sensitive vocals can be heard in most of the tracks on the album, seamlessly weaving in between the familiar gradient pads and languid trance synthesizers.

Two years of COVID turbulence, a series of wars, mass migration and countless political upheavals - the world has managed to change a lot in the last few years. Each of these phenomena has had many private consequences for each of us: broken ties and personal loss, desperate searches for new meanings and nervous breakdowns, forced isolation and the inability to return to certain places. Sestrica finds spiritual salvation in the warmest and most unchanging of all - her own memories.

The compositions on "Memory Lane" are a kind of audio memoir. Each of them, like a separate chapter, is dedicated to something very specific and personal - long periods of life and lightning changes, places of strength and close people, moments of catharsis and indescribable expiriences at the intersection of the physical and psycho-emotional. These are the few memories that never fade and over time become life's foundation.

This is a track from the beautiful new album of minimalist piano pieces from French composer, Catherine Watine.

Feb 2nd sees the release of this new album of introspective and electronically tinged piano miniatures from our favorite French composer, Catherine Watine! This is our 4th release with Catherine, and once again in her own melancholic and melodic fashion she has fit our aural aesthetic perfectly. These beautiful little pieces will have you dreaming of rainy Parisian afternoons, clockwork mechanisms and mysterious encounters of the heart.  

TRS is also responsible for the packaging and design of the Deluxe limited vinyl version of the album, this time in an edition of only 40 copies. Once again we have taken liberties with the original artwork from the standard vinyl version, once again created by the incomparable graphiste et magicienne, @vel.visual…aka Caroline Lysiak. The piano in her original artwork has been cut open by @mariachenut, hand-stitched around with twine, with the inside filled with vintage musical notes, cloth flowers and netting, and then attached to 1950’s Classical music boxes in a 3 dimensional manner. Inside the box is the original printed textual insert, a unique, engraved coversheet from a 100+ year old sheet music songbook, and in the back, nestled in folded, textured book binding paper is one of a variety of types of antique, metal music box discs. Each box then comes in an oversized poly-bag.
