Following on from releasing on the various artists compilation on 3024 - “It Was Always There Vol 1”, Planète returns with a long awaited 4 track exploring new territories and sound landscapes.

Shuffling away from straight grooves of earlier muses, Planète takes time to explore the irregular pulses of broken beat rhythms whilst maintaining introspective colour on this new EP. Central to the messages in his explorations, "Eternal Now" represents a reconfiguration of sonic interpretation and reflection.

Opener 'Stony Creek Reserve' rattles and throbs, consuming a poly-rhythmic bass bedrock and dubbed stabs with crisp and glitched crackles whilst 'Passing Through' lightens the deep with a skipping kick drum and memorable percussion melodies guided by an anchored bass hit.

On the flip, echoing and spooky wooden hits fill the terrain whilst stark bass movements in 'Meteor' rain and mutate a broken techno groove. Closing up, allowing the energy to release, 'Eternal Now' gives rise to vast space in reverberated strikes and wobbled stabs under the hood of slow thuds and thin hisses.

This return shows versatility and growth in sonic descriptions, edging towards a bridge of found sounds and clinical club music. His latest contribution shows the breadth and current appetite for bass centric curations and meticulous high frequency attention refining his signature for evolving storytelling.

This piece was created using audio recordings of Eve Skibinska (main polish theatre actresse). The material She sent me is a result of improvised acting while taking a bath. I've cut some fragments, combine them and made this track out of it.

From Caterina Barbieri's debut album Vertical (Important Records/Cassauna, October 2014) composed for Buchla Synthesizer and vocals.
Vertical is a meditation on primary waveforms and the polyrhythm of harmonics in synthetic sounds, stretching the boundaries between drone, minimalism and techno. Barbieri's minimalist focus arises from the exploration of the stratigraphic potential of voltage-controlled sequencers, in terms of polyrhythm and polyphony. Employing synthesis, psychoacoustics and repetition as key concepts, the italian composer stylizes the dancing of wave cycles in severe geometries of time and space.
All the tracks were played, recorded and produced in Stockholm, at EMS (Electroacoustic Music Studios) and KMH (Royal University of Music) in Summer 2013.

Territories is the debut compilation from brand-new audiovisual label 79Ancestors. Initiated as a celebratory call-to-action for musical friends and family to compose soundtracks for “imaginary landscapes”, the inaugural LP lays the foundation for a year of upcoming collaborations amongst a diverse set of musicians, designers, and performers. 

A collection of both music and visual art, featuring core 79A artists (Tongueless, A.M. Architect, Before Tigers) as well as guest contributions from Telefon Tel Aviv, Shigeto, Rafael Irisarri, and more. Pearl City exists in an other worldly place where melancholic pop music reigns supreme and the future’s not so desolate. Formed by duo Nick & Greta in Manchester, their debut track 'Flames' is the opening portal for a parallel world they've created, and a temporary respite from the industrial and politically oppressed world that surrounds them; "Pearl City to us is otherworldly - a fantasy place. The music takes us to an alternative realm where we can escape from reality, making our own soundscapes for them to occur there" state Nick & Greta.

Pieced together from a range of live instrumentation, studio trickery, field recordings, obscure instruments (including the Guzheng and Steel Pan), alongside a more typical combo of synthesisers, effects units and drum machines, their take on avant-pop dips between glacial vocal arrangements, electronic pulses and phantom echoes. It recasts a love for Bjørk, Arca and dystopian anime flicks into a mould that's entirely it's own - future pop music for a new virtual world.
