Hioll returns to the label with a release of ten original tracks.

"Velvet Revolution LP" is a Techno album purely intended to be used in DJ sets at clubs and raves. Denotes an industrial sound but at the same time drinks from other sources of influence. Taking the groove as a flag and adding adjacent elements, the narrative of these cuts makes them intertwine with each other, leading us on a sonic journey similar to a session at any venue. It should also be noted that, like other Hioll works, it aims to send a message of reflection and accurate criticism towards this contemporary era.

Born and raised in La Habana (Havana) and carrying from the beginning, with humility, the flag of Cuban Techno. Supporting new age talented cuban artists by abstraction record label, he gave cuban scene a worldwide recognition. 

Established Abstraction (@abstractionrecordlabel) in 2017, the first electronic music label ever in Cuba’s history and which is dedicated to showing the most outstanding talents from the island. But that has subsequently evolved to welcome new international artists and, as such, become a widely supported source of dance-floor cuts. 

As a producer, Hioll's tracks exist in a powerful climax, which looks simultaneously from the most daring and strange hypnotic Techno to the most bizarre and industrial. He has many successful releases in respected and well known labels, being played and supported by big industry names. 

This suggests a versatile artist with a strong personality, capable of generating rich and truly unique ideas and, eventually, translating them into a varied context of unprecedented sound experiences.

Hioll delivers five Acid tools to be used with responsibility in clubs and raves. Like his earlier productions, industrial influence is very present. A careful work in percussion sequencing as well as in 303 bass-lines can be heard. Vocal samples and distant pad sounds makes presence in the productions as well.

Moments In Time is a new Manchester based label run by Mark Bradbury aka Rudosa who kicked off the labels first release ‘Obsolescence’ in 2019. A 3-track release compromising of hammering drums, intensity and clever synth work. The release and label mark a supported change into a linear, darker and harder style of techno for the young producer. 

Making his debut in January is Cuban producer and DJ, Hioll who has run his own successful imprint Abstraction since 2017, the first electronic music label to come from Cuba. Gaining recognition with support from big names across the industry, and releases from artists including from X-Alex, Gøwther, Inglawt, Bas Mooy and Tenudo. The label also provides home for his own powerful, hypnotic and linear techno productions with hints of new school rave.

‘Subdued Nation’ is a gargantuan 4 track release kicking off with “El Renegade’, think Belgian style big beat meeting thumping techno. ‘Bitter Populism’ provides a thunderous bass and the high energy fans know him for. It's a nod to the 90s.

‘Dictators’ is the one track of the release that is completely stripped back and percussive, very much orientated as a DJ tool, before the whole release is thrown into rave madness with a peak time synth energy explosion in ‘The Masses’.
