O.C, the former DITC rep and Crooklyn Dodger, got his start rhyming on an Organized Konfusion record. It was back in 94 when he and buckwild locked themselves in the lab and recorded the classic album Word...Life, which features his trademark track Time's Up (a track that he claims was never fully completed); however, It was on his second album Jewelz that he dropped this little gem of a track Far From Yours, featuring Yvette Michelle, backed with It's My World (both of which were featured in the video). In fact, the song was the highest O.C ever ranked on the charts.

I found this record on a dig downtown a few years back, and was geeked up! Wasn't a huge fan of his 2001 release, but I did really like his collabo jawn with A.G...but this 12" holds up today as one of my fav joints from 97...I still include it on all my mixes.

I'll end with a random fact...his debut album had no features at all. The lone feature was supposed to be Nas, but he apparently was a no-show for the session. This would have been their second feature (they both appeared on an MC Serch Remix).
