This song came from the strange quiet between chaos and convenience — that trance where rebellion feels easier from the couch. I wanted to capture that glazed-over hypnosis, the way we trade agency for comfort, scrolling through revolutions like TV reruns. It’s satire and confession all at once — I’ve been that person, too.

Lyrically, it’s a sermon from the remote’s perspective — the smug little god of distraction narrating humanity’s downfall in real time. Every click is control disguised as choice, every commercial a confession. It’s funny, bleak, and a little too true.

In the Shiitake Products world, this track sits in the realm of media decay and spiritual static — where satire becomes prophecy. It’s rebellion through absurdism, a mirror held up to our modern trance.
