Princess Best, affectionately know as the HIPHOPMOMMA, is a multi-faceted artist who has dedicated her many talents to advocating for the enhancement leadership, health and communication of young girls and women, She is the founder of Princess Best Speaks (PBS) and R.O.Y.A.L. Voices (Readying Our Young Aspiring Leaders.  Best's platform and programming focus on expanding the leadership capacity of the African American and African Diasporic female voices on the microphone through hip-hop theater, storytelling and public speaking.

Her highly engaging presentations speak to the physical, mental and spiritual wellness of women and girls.  Her interactive techniques cultivate an environment and spirit of sisterhood that ignites cross-generational and cross-cultural dialogue.

Princess has served in several capacities for events, campaigns and organizations such as The Million Moms March, Black Women's Roundtable, The Prince George's African American Museum and Cultural Center, The National Organization for Women, Girls Rock DC, Busboys & Poets, Arts Lives Here, several sororities, and countless  primary and secondary schools and colleges.  Best has over 20 years of experience in performing arts and arts education and has dedicated her life to service of feminine empowerment.

Currently, Princess is preparing for her SHAME-LESS tour in the U.S. and internationally, aimed to bring awareness to the history, health and communication of African American and African Diasporic girls and women.  Formerly known as the hip-hop ARTIVIST Princess of Controversy; she has released two music albums entitled Soul Hop & Personal Messenger.

Princess is a Theater Arts graduate of The University of the District of Columbia and a former Miss UDC. Princess was featured on TV One's reality show “David E. Talbert's Stage Black", HBO's "THE WIRE” and Ford Fiestas "Inspired by Color" radio campaign.  Most recently Princess was recognized as one of the NAACP's top 100 Gamechangers of 2015 for her arts and activism work in her community.
