Lee's verses on "Tax Money" are rapped in a stream of consciousness, and he's still able to segue seamlessly into the hook, which gets catchier with each drop. "Tax Money" is the lead track off Lee's upcoming project, which is yet to be titled.

As you can imagine by a song called "Line Up The Flex," Tory, Ferg and Play Picasso were not kidding around with this one. From the opening strings and vocal samples, you know this is about to be as firey as they come. Those string instruments and vocal samples haunt the background for the remainder of the record, while Fergie gets us hype for Friday night by simply repeating "line up the flex" over and over. iLoveMakonnen - Stay With Me Tonight

iLoveMakonnen is feeling extra generous this weekend. In the wee hours last night, he dropped off a 10-minute non-stop freestyle, during which he basically relayed his entire life story. It's powerful stuff. Next, he decided to release a romantic ballad, "Stay With Me Tonight," produced by Sonny Digital. He's now dropped his third new track of the day -- one that's a tad less earnest than the previous two: "Swimming in the Money." 

The track maintains an aqueous theme, as Makonnen is "swimming in the money" ("that's why these sharks comin' for me"). The beat, made up of softly reverberating synths, is well-suited to the underwater aesthetic. Production comes from DJ Spinz as well of Danny Wolf, both members of Hoodrich Entertainment. 

Humor is part of Makonnen's appeal, though that's not to imply there's a lack of substance within tracks like this. Indeed, there's something about his singing voice that's as deep as the sea of money in which he swims (always in freestyle). 

iLoveMakonnen - Swimming In The Money

At the beginning of March, Fat Joe and Remy Ma, with assistance from French Montana, took back the New York sound real quick. Their collaborative single, "All the Way Up" has been buzzing ever since, and the remixes are just starting to pour in. New Yorkers are taking on the beat first, unsurprisingly, with Boogz Boogetz dropping his own mix last week, and today, Mass Appeal-signed Dave East releases his "EastMix."

It's hard to do wrong over such a smooth instrumental, the saxophone melody alone could carry this beat. Nonetheless Dave East's stab at it is strong, while he keeps verses from the original intact. Take a listen and let us know how this stacks up to the original.

RJ releases the first single from "OMMIO 3," "OMG."
OMG. RJ aka Mr. L.A., is back today with the kind of hyphy banger he does best. "OMG" sounds like the West Coast, from that g-funk-influenced bass that kicks off the song, to the clapping, it's all wrapped up into one record, complete with a catchy, millennial-inspired hook. This is how RJ is kicking off the promo for his forthcoming OMMIO 3 mixtape, and we're excited to premiere it.

OMMIO 2 impacted last year around this time, so Spring seems to be RJ's season of choice for the OMMIO series. With each instalment we see his career grow, taking him beyond his local scene-- we have a feeling OMMIO 3 will be the one that pushes him over the edge. Are you feeling the tape's first leak?

Quentin Miller has been steadily releasing new music, gradually building up a solid catalog over the last year. The ATlanta rapper returns with yet another SoundCloud jam today, putting his pipes on display on the melodic slow-burner, "Show Me...", sounding like more of an R&B singer than a rapper-- proving his versatility as a vocal performer.

While it starts off pretty low-key, the hooks fully register on repeat listens, as the earworms slowly come into focus. No word on when we'll be getting a full-length project from the rapper, but judging by the material he's put out so far, he's probably sitting on a solid amount of material.

The Game shares a song in dedication to Afeni Shakur and his own mother.
Like many others, The Game is mourning the loss of Afeni Shakur, and in tribute to the activist and mother to Tupac, he's released a track going out to mothers everywhere. "Mama" continues in the tradition of classic mom rap songs such as Kanye West's "Hey Mama," and of course, Tupac's "Hey Mama". 

In the final moments of the song, he sends out thoughts to his mother, Lynette Marie Baker, as well as Afeni. "I know you're happy you're with Pac now. I know he alright. He got his mama," letting the song ride out to a clip of "Dear Mama".

Trey Songz is the latest star to put his spin on Madeintyo's "Uber Everywhere." "LYFT" is Trigga's fourth remix of the week.
What a week it's been for Trey Songz. Still no sign of any new originals, but Trey has dropped off a new remix every day so far this week, beginning on Monday with his tackling of Belly and The Weeknd's "Might Not." On Tuesday, Trigga took on Kodak Black's "SKRT," and yesterday, he tried his chops at TK N Cash's "3X in a Row." For today's remix, his fourth of the week, Trey keeps it in Atlanta with a flip of Madeintyo's "Uber Everywhere," perhaps the most remixed song of the year. 

"Uber never comin' here, throwin' hoes in the Lyft," raps Trey for his version of the hook. Apparently Trey doesn't use Uber when it comes to providing an exit service for the women who frequent his estate -- perhaps the competing app is more accommodating when it comes to getting rid of multiple passengers at once. Did Lyft just find its new spokesman?

Before he releases his 21-track album Son of a Pimp 2 at midnight, Bay legend Mistah F.A.B. looses one last single: "Pretty Girls" feat. the diverse cast of Raekwon, G-Eazy, & Carl Thomas.

"Pretty Girls" is a slick West Coast jam with major summer vibes: pocket bass line, horn stabs, string pads provide a stirring backdrop for Fab and company to bless the microphone.

After premiering the song at Coachella last month, Joey Bada$$ decides to come through today and liberate the official version of his new single “Devastated.”

Slowing things down, Joey hops on this Adam Pallin, Kirk Knight, & Powers Pleasant-produced beat and delivers a laidback, radio-friendly record that finds him rapping about being “devastated” while on his come up in the game. Highlighted by its strong lyrical wordplay & uplifting vibe, “Devastated” is another strong addition to his steady growing catalogue of hits. Hopefully there’s more on the way, or better yet a project.

Buzzing Atlanta rapper Dae Dae gives his track "Spend It" the "ColleGrove" remix treatment.
Recently signed to 300, Dae Dae might just be the next young ATL rapper to blow. That seems especially likely considering the remix he's just shared, as he's managed to get the ColleGrove duo of Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz to drop verses on his February track "Spend It." The track is produced Young Trill Beatz.

Dae Dae has received a strong cosign from So So Def veteran Nitti Beatz, who has produced most of his early material, including his breakout hit "Wat U Mean," which got a remix from Young Dro and Big Ben last month. "Spend It" hasn't quite attained the buzz of "Wat U Mean," but that'll likely change with this new remix. Expect to hear a lot more of Dae Dae this summer.

Dave East takes on a classic Amerie beat on his latest East Mix: "Anna Mae."
After dropping off a fresh East-meets-West collab with The Game, Harlem's Dave East is back to his "EastMix" series, keeping up the New York tradition of dropping weekly freestyles over a mix of trending as well as classic instrumentals. After taking on "All the Way Up" and "Uber Everywhere," East's latest drop, entitled "Anna Mae," comes over the beat of Amerie's classic debut single "Why Don't We Fall in Love?" Perhaps the remix is meant to pay homage to the veteran R&B singer, who recently released her first project in over six years with Drive, which included the Fabolous-featuring "Every Time." 

The beat is well-suited to East's smooth and confident flow, and it'll be enjoyed by those looking for a laid-back summer track amid the exhausting flood of turn-up music. Over the chilled backdrop, East reflects on his come-up with bittersweet nostalgia, and he also touches on recent happenings in his city, including the shocking shooting involving Troy Ave at a T.I. concert earlier this week.

Lil Uzi Vert and Maaly Raw with another one: "$UB ZERO."
Uzi recently showed up on a big-time single from Wiz Khalifa and a couple of top TGOD producers, but he hadn't dropped a record of his own in over a month. Not like that's a long time -- but his fans were getting restless, and he's come back on this Sunday evening with a crazy new tune, "$UB ZERO," produced by the teenage Philly sensation Maaly Raw, who was responsible for some of the standout cuts on last month's Lil Uzi Vert vs. the World mixtape. 

It's fitting that "$UB ZERO" should have some booming sub-bass. As is the case with most of his beats, though, it's Maaly's strangely catchy synth line -- sounding like an electrified sitar -- that makes this one so fresh. Uzi sounds subdued for much of the track, though he often jumps into unpredictable flows, allowing his ad-libbing to help him keep a cohesive tempo. He's a master controller of his shifts in energy, and there are at least a few portions of the song that sound like knockout hooks. Expect "$UB ZERO" to be a particularly explosive highlight of future Uzi performances.
