Tribal components resonate with my Latin heritage, evoking a primal trance state that I find deeply therapeutic. I'm captivated by the romance between Techno and organic sounds, bridging the 'music of the future' with our primitive musical origins, back when humanity gathered around fires in caves, using sticks and stones to create rhythms for celebratory dances (which is not so different to what we experience today in clubs, if you think about it). I would also like to acknowledge that we wouldn’t be able to enjoy this magical music if it weren’t for Black musicians; it’s important we remind ourselves that we owe Africa much more than we care to admit. I hope you enjoy listening to this mix as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Still reeling from our last Tech Couture of 2024, we bring you a little treat… the live recording from Sob Story’s set with us back in September at FOLD! 

Known for their eye-wateringly euphoric sets that leave all in varying states of hysteria, Sob Story is the main collaborative project of London-based producer and DJ duo @olivergibson_ and @vile_hell.

Familiar faces within London's clandestine corners, the two have cut their teeth at many an institutional party over the past decade. In 2024 their edit of Samantha Fox's seminal classic "Touch Me" was released on Jennifer Cardini's label Correspondant, and they also make up two-thirds of the team behind the new event series "meanwhile…".

This mix is an absolute belter and sure to wash away the wintery blues and turn up the heat. We are certainly feeling nostalgic…what a beauty of a party! ❤️ xxx
