[into my soundscape] は、斉藤尋己が訪れたイタリア・オーストリア・チェコ・ポルトガルにてフィールド・レコーディングした“soundscape”とアンサンブルするようにピアノの即興演奏を重ねた作品集です。“soundscape”のレコーディングには、バイノーラルマイクを用いています。 その土地が持つ豊かな音の風景に、ピアノの音像が寄り添い、まるでその場所を旅したような気持ちになれる一枚となっており空間に漂う音の家具のように楽しんで頂けたら嬉しいです。

The album is a collection of impromptu pieces, ensembled with “soundscapes” that were field-recorded by Hiroki from Italy, Austria, Czechia and Portugual. Binaural microphones were used to record the “soundscapes”. Piano notes accompany the rich scenic sounds from the locations, and listening through the album feels like a travel itself. Please enjoy this work as ‘sound furniture’ in the atmosphere.

EN: This is a piano solo piece by a composer, Hiroki Saitoh. The gentle piano tones and the simple yet emotional phrases weave a world, which evokes nostalgia and reminds a listener of a heartfelt childhood memory that we all have somewhere on our mind. In the hope of meeting myself in those days, I made this song by drawing an inspiration from a secret little playground in a wood of fallen leaves where my daughter and I used to play. Through this song, I look forward meeting myself back then.

The album Sounds of My World is a collection of pieces in which Hiroki Saitoh has woven an ensemble of field recordings and muted piano improvisations. Saitoh used high-performance binaural microphones to capture soundscapes in Japan, Austria, the Czech Republic, and Portugal. hiroki saitoh

Musician, born in Tokyo. He started to play classic guitar at the age of 10, and began his studies in classical music theory at the age of 18. He joined Nihon University College of Art to major in Faculty of Music where he studied psychoacoustics, acoustic analysis amongst other interests, that eventually lead him to start composing music for experimental performances and orchestal pieces.
Since graduation, he has been working in composing music for movies, TV commercials, websites and other sound designs such as; electronic money interface sounds for Seven & i Holdings Co., sound development for YAMAHA and other corporate identity sounds.
His practices have also extended to fields such as music for an exhibition at Salone del Mobile Milano, sound installation art and various collaborations with other artists. Since 2015 he has been producing music pieces under a moniker QUKO, as an electronic artist. In 2016, with his philosophy on soundscapes, started a sound branding agency “SoundscapeDesignLab”.
