Laying out work that has been widely garnered from a long soft chain of a long-awaited path with a different spatial dimension than before.The repetition expanded and went slightly further as the waves slowly covered in forms of collaborating. Dulcet voices threaten to disintegrate the pieces into upheaval and transmitt into the dynamic participation of mellifluous strims.

Steve Fors offers deeply physical music on his Hallow Ground debut »it's nothing, but still.« Having already established himself as a composer of visceral drone and noise pieces in various Chicago- and New York-based underground projects, Fors’s first release under his given name is even more dense and evocative than his earlier work. A concept album on the subject of breath, the Siavash Amini-produced record sees the now Swiss-based composer blend field recordings with electronic and acoustic sounds—most notably towering cello drones—to almost overwhelming effect. 

Initially taking inspiration from living with a chronic lung condition, Fors meticulously crafts pieces that transcend his personal experience and reach for something universal. »The album is a study in melancholy and transience,« he explains. »And my intention is that the sounds trigger a memory, an image, a feeling in each of us. While our specific circumstances are momentary and discrete; joy, rage, and despair remain existential to our common experience.«

At first listen, Fors describes moments in time by building on a foundation of simple field recordings—an afternoon in a cathedral, the idling of COVID-19 morgue trucks outside Brooklyn Hospital, or the fleeting sound of wind in the trees—and then progressively overlays electronic and acoustic textures. On repeated plays however, the songs unfold, revealing a complexity, depth, and presence uncommon in current ambient music.

What makes »it's nothing, but still« such a memorable album is that it doesn’t impose anything on the listener, but rather offers them something to get lost in. From the first lush drones on the opener »(good enough) for now,« to the solemn piano chords on the title track, to the glistening cello feedback on »the way to heaven,« Fors’s sentiment about the record rings true. »If we surrender ourselves, these sounds can move us out of our present condition into a distinctly different existence, if only for a moment. If we choose to listen closely, we can experience the superpositioning of both memory and imagination in real time.«

An eternal liminality amidst of the fading blaze - sunset speaks so much of  light. Adorned by the dust-covered sundial, a candle being blown out since the crack of dawn. First, the hour hand and the minute hand - chime rods clang without touch. To remember: the core of arousal. The body / as foliage / as traverses too ceaseless to bring up the rear.

‘Butterfly Tongues More Ancient Than Flowers’ is the grandeur revival of early electronic era in the personal and subtle twists of a rethought perception of time. For the same reason, the matter simply drifts through it—not itself, but its own persistence. Copenhagen based artist - øjeRum maintained the reminiscence of rending impulses and rhythmic formations at the turn of provoking co-existing worlds, laid bare in the sempiternal totality.

For the 7th installment of their split-series, Dalmata Daniel welcomes both Roberto Auser for his sophomore contribution to the label, as well as a fresh addition to the catalogue: Cestrian, aka. Ali Renault, the tireless Margate-based DJ and producer, well known for his frantic, dazzling and rough releases at labels like Bunker, Cyber Dance Records or Mechatronica.

Massive, thumping kickdrums and hypnotic whispers introduce the first tunes of side A, that is ‘Awakening’ – Auser’s take on slow, EBM-esque industrial vibrations as an eerie, industrial waltz. ‘Selvage’ drives effortlessly to disco- and retrofuturistic territories, arriving at the closing track of Auser’s side, ‘Long Night’. This third cut is his longest one, steadily building up harmonic layers of dark, intertwining melodies with the devoted beats of a minimalistic drummachine, full of echoes and shimmering high-ends.

Side B starts with the energetic, rolling bassline of ‘Satan’. Ideal title for such a fiery, blazing electro hit: if you ever find yourself in any sort of Inferno-situation trying to Shazam that heated banger you hear, it is likely that it's one of Cestrian’s intense tracks from this 12”. ‘Zoltan’ delivers a gentle rumbling of a dusty bass-synth. An atmospheric, chill sequence dominates the split’s penultimate track, with dreamy chords and smooth twists on a chaotic noise-source. Finishing off the split, Cestrian hits us with ‘Lids’ – an excited and raw vision of electro, full of hazy sparks and detuned, tense oscillations. The bass cuts into our minds like blades from a giallo-opus, leaving behind nothing but the unsolved mystery of ineffable horrors.

MM PREMIERES are meant to transcend the ordinary and immerse themselves in the sacred realm of music, beholding the unseen and embracing the new melodic tapestry even before it unveils itself to the world.

Today's premiere features a small record label based in Strasbourg, known as Carpaccio Cathedrale. On November 23, they are set to launch the debut album by an artist named Trrrnctrn, hailing from the regions of Orléans and Strasbourg. This album will be available in both tape and digital formats. The album consists of 13 tracks, which take the listener on a journey through the artist's life and creative output spanning a decade in Orléans and Strasbourg. 

Trrrnctrn's musical evolution is traced from his earliest performances alongside Abbrumer at Le 108 in Orléans to his more recent appearances at Le Diamant d'OR in Strasbourg. The album showcases his live recordings from the comfort of his own bedroom. Trrrnctrn's debut release seamlessly shifts between ambient and heavily saturated breaks, offering a 100% industrial music experience. This album is the perfect accompaniment for those driving their Polo 3 93.
