L 33 leads off with the intricate ‘Scream’. Setting the stage with a haunting synth pattern underlying arrays of distant percussion, L 33 punctuates the atmosphere with sharp, grinding stabs before dispensing a pleasingly disjointed groove of weighty bass notes and carefully placed medleys.

Volatile Cycle, a name that is becoming firmly cemented into the upper echelons of cutting edge drum and bass is taking the scene by storm with their take on the darker end of the drum and bass spectrum. Consisting of 2 members, Dan Lawrence and James Chick, they began experimenting individually with genres such as garage and glitch hop and eventually found their niche in drum and bass. Building up their rep with a slew of releases on a number of reputable drum and bass outputs, they have worked 
their way up through the ranks to finally drop their debut LP on the seminal and beloved label Renegade Hardware. The Reaktiv LP is a masterclass in drum and music, showcasing their highly refined technical ability, yet still retaining the classic style reminiscent of the early Hardware days. Opening track ‘Wrench’ sets the tone, cutting through with razor sharp precision, whilst ‘Reckless’ and ‘Obey’ dominate the dancefloor with pulsating sub frequencies and rattling percussions. Newcomer to the scene Yen joins forces to unleash sinister undertones with ‘Forgotten Future’, whilst Russian neurofunk whizz Cod3x teams up with the duo to kill the dance with ‘Bounce. Nuklear MC puts his lyrical stamp on the track ‘Status’, a stripped back roller designed to cause maximum dancefloor damage. The Reaktiv LP is a huge milestone for Volatile Cycle. Showcasing their production chops, yet demonstrating an impressive degree of 
versatility. Volatile Cycle are set to officially make their mark and rise up to contend with the household drum and bass names. 2016 is their year and they will be taking no prisoners. The year is 2016. The year is Volatile Cycle.

On this occasion the protagonists of giving a twist to the original songs are none other than CPTL PNSHMNT, MANIATICS, HEKRIM and for the first time releasing music in our family, THRILLER! . Four technically perfect remixes with colossal work from these artists! We start with the remix of the magnificent MANIATICS to the original track piece "Anubis", an original song made by CPTL PNSHMENT feat RADIOHAZZARD. Adapting to the times Maniatics presents us with a remix of the freshest, and solid, at the same time elegant, giving a 180 degree turn to the theme that this wonderful original track already carried. Strong basses accompanied by explosive synths, powerful rhythms and a totally successful dancefloor flow !. The Next remix is ​​starring by CPTL PNSHMENT, and this time they are the ones who turn the game around on the original Maniatics track, "Fewer Job". A titan Neurofunk track, with unstoppable energy and strength. Puerto Ricans guys express the original theme in an incredible way and making a version 2.0 Supreme!. This March, Dutch drum and bass connoisseur Maztek returns to his very own label, 0101 Music, with the whopping 28-track compilation The Blacklist Rewind Catalogue.
Showcasing a mixture of releases from his formative years – dating all the way back to 2012 – and previously unheard VIPs, the new LP serves as a timely primer to the Haarlem DJ/producer’s extensive musical arsenal.
Included in the package are every single one of his past drops on revered label Renegade Hardware, including 2013’s M Theory EP, the critically acclaimed debut album Three Point Zero (2014) and a tagteam remix of “Limber” from late legend Optiv and Brazilian powerhouse BTK, all of which have proven to be fan favourites over the years. With some of these having previously been absent from streaming services and primarily available on vinyl, both die-hard followers and newcomers alike are in for a treat.
First landing exclusively via Maztek’s Bandcamp back in December, this essential collectors’ item has since been fortified with an additional three brand-new VIPs: a slinking reinterpretation of the choppy 2013 neurofunk triumph “iMaz”; a gritty, stuttering overhaul of the 2012 Subculture signing “Up & Down”; and a snarling spin on one of his best-known hits, “From the Shadows”, which features vocal contributions from local hip-hop heavyweights Dope D.O.D.
With Maztek known today not only as a musician but also as a label boss and preeminent purveyor of high-quality D&B, it’s a timely opportunity to reflect on his musical journey up to now. The Blacklist Rewind Catalogue LP lands 15th March via digital vendors and streaming services.
