MindTrip brings the first studio collaboration between Portuguese uprising talent Nørbak and Argentinian head honcho Pfirter.

Artur Moreira aka Nørbak introduced himself to our MindTrip world with a contribution to the Mutable Minds series, which led to his debut EP 'Praying to Silence' in April 2020. Since then, he has rapidly evolved into an established producer with his own signature sound. After Pfirter’s remix work on Artur’s label Hayes, the two exchanged a few ‘live takes’ that led to four finished tracks that complete their first joint work: 'Life, Truth, Freedom, Fear'.    

This release is the final outcome of two artists coming from different generations, yet sharing the same view of the raw and forward thinking sound of Techno.

Serbian based producer Milo Raad returns to Soma for his second full release with the label, the ‘Hidden Agenda EP’. Armed with his distinctive sound, Milo has crafted an excellent 4 track EP that weaves a crafty sonic tapestry which continues to develop his unque take on techno further. Raad has worked tirelessly to  hone his sound to perfection and with this latest release on Soma, his typical rolling percussion is in full effect throughout. Raad subtly builds layers of rhythms against a constantly evolving and otherworldly backdrop of atmospheres, creating dense yet effective hypnotic techno.

Alberto Serrano, also known as Biorc, is a DJ and producer hailing from Madrid, Spain. His journey into the realm of techno began in 2016, when he first stepped behind the decks. However, it wasn't until 2018 that he honed his craft, refining his musical palette and infusing his DJ sets with a compelling blend of force and intensity.

The second part of 2020’s ‘Converge - Part I’, a body of music which saw enthusiastic responses from the likes of Surgeon, Lauren Flax, DJ Bone, Anthony Parasole and Jus-Ed to name just a few, sees the Berlin-based DJ/Producer and dancer generously expand on and refine his slick vision of techno on one of electronic music’s key labels.

By encompassing warm and soulful textures within club focussed grooves, Hester continues to explore the far reaches of both the musical cues picked up from his years as a dancer and formative time spent in the Midwest US, connecting influences from Chicago, Minneapolis, and Detroit.

Stretched across a double LP, the album opens with the spacious and icy ‘Stealth’ followed by the machine communications of ‘Artificial Intelligence’. The B-side sees a whirlwind of the synthetic in ‘Instant’ before ‘Contact’ swiftly picks up the pace with it’s warbling pads and slippery percussion.

On the second disc, ‘Circadian Slip’, custom-built for dancefloor pandemonium, continues with off-kilter leads and vocal snippets before ‘Shadows’ brings eerie syncopation to the proceedings. In the final stretch, ‘Silver’ maintains steady energy into the twilight hours, and the gorgeous ‘Wonder’ closes out the LP beautifully, providing a soft landing to an exceptional journey through Hester’s sound.
