HRDF: Who are you ?
K: My name is Khemir, Dj/Producer from Tunisia . 

HRDF: How did you discover this track ?
K: In fact, my dear father showed it to me, he has it on cassette. He has always been a big fan of the 80s Arabic music especially with Funk and Raï music.

HRDF: Why do you choose to edit it?

K: I liked the track, and I decided to make a dancefloor version out of it! It makes my heart melt when I see people from different cultures dancing to forgotten north African gems.

HRDF: What are your upcoming plans?
K: Do it or die trying!

After EPs on Internasjonal and Catune amongst others, he delivers via Bordello A Parigi a 12” that bulldozes barriers, Metamundas seamlessly slips between electro disco, braindance acid and gilded funk. Writhing 303 jerks are tempered by warm-hearted key changes for the title track, patterns ducking into playful frolics and lush deeps. And this desire to toy with convention is what characterises the EP. Bitter chords are sugared, machine grooves with nods to the dancefloors of the 70s, spaceflights with undertones of Chicago ; Ichisan brings all together in a 12” that is as unique as it is addictive, following Prins Thomas and Todd Terje's Path.
