Artist/producer Charlie Russell, with his infectious melodies and inventive arrangements on tracks like “OV - Outrageous Vibrations", an original tribute to the great Lionel Hampton, and the radio friendly and artistically intriguing smooth jazz feel goes alone ways towards establishing his sound.

There are moments of a cool soulful groove, with his  ride in jazz improvisation, on the track “Break Up On” H “Street", and the ripping funk bass and horn lines found on the track “From The Mist" with its electrically charged guitar solos.

Charlie Russell is a self-taught musician / songwriter / arranger / producer; his recordings are intentionally melodic, giving you this highly enjoyable first look.

Soon as I heard this song it reminded me of one of  my favourite  songwriters  "Burt Bacharach"  the  changes, chords the trumpet   and the  whole feel of the song.  So it was a pleasure to bring something to the table with this song!
