So Many Lies is the lead track from our forthcoming EP mkll (part 2), set for release on 7th April 2017.

So Many Lies stays central to the ideals and themes presented within mk2 (part 1); however, it takes to the fore principles of accountability where there has been a loss of control.

A personal frustration.

The track harnesses a counterbalance, where one can look at their own guilt by association or inaction in a situation.

I'll Be A Fool For You

A young teacher's daily struggles provide the backdrop for this harrowing reflection on the Grenfell Tower tragedy. In a move from journalism to drama, George departs with the documentary-style narration of previous episodes to deliver a heart-wrenching story of resilience and neglect in London's inner city. Enlisting the help of rising star Jade Alleyne, poet Sophia Thakur as well as his own brothers, Freddie, Michael and Kenny Mpanga, George introduces a small universe of characters whose witty exchanges offer insight into their respective environments.

#HaveYouHeardGeorgesPodcast Episode 3 A Grenfell Story

Hiva Oa is the Belfast-based creative endeavor of Stephen Houlihan, Christine Tubridy and ChrisMcCorry. 

The sound merges dark, omnipotent bass variants with aggressive, rumbling drums and guitars to lay the cornerstone for a subdued yet contemplative vocal delivery. The band's extensively spanning musical tastes impact the diversity of the sound, swaying readily from electronic constructs to agitated noise rock and beyond.

Following the success in 2017 of EP mkII (part 1&2) and subsequent touring, Hiva Oa are currently recording their new album and with only a select number of live dates scheduled in 2018, which will give light and space to an experimental trajectory that has long been in the making. This new material will again see the collaboration of Edinburgh members Matthew Collings and Daithi McNabb.
