Bonkers calling their third year as a record label, for the celebration is going to be released a very special six-track compilation, for the first time on Vinyl 12”, bringing lots of new astounding artists to the label and also a very different sound to what you might have heard two years back. The music is evolving all the time, so the sound of the label has to evolve too.
This six-track album represents the actual sound of the record label, featuring: Undefined Pattern, Ducati Flux, Ludviq & Technicism, Ricardo Ruben, Hanzo & Yaman, and 9 POUND HAMMER.

"Sounds are layed out very carefully, so much thought was put into placing them in the right spot, creating this BAIT effect.
Just like hunters were placing traps back in the day, expecting to catch a prey, memorizing every single one of them so the pursuit that they initiated in the first place, won't be of theirs. 
This track is played in m key, what I mean by that is minimalism. One small sound is replaced by another, then comes back a little bit later
in a different form as if it has a life of its own. It's not over squeezed or infused with unnecessary intensity. If I had to put a label on it, there's only one word for what I've heard - mind trance. Reminds me of MIB or Ghostbusters animated series soundtracks from 2000's. 
What I think is that this track has a lot of tendencies to be an actual soundtrack, the nature of this tune strongly suggests and even encourages it to be more than just a dance floor banger." - Quixotical Music psychoanalyst Vidas Stanynas

Robi Insinna is gearing up for the release of a brand new album under his Headman alias. In the lead up to the release he's releasing a number of singles with his signature dub versions and remixes from friends and affiliates. The third track to be released is a homage to his love of the 90s, blending elements of Indie and electronica and calling on the vocal stylings of Mexican DJ and producer Vongold to complete the track. On top of the original and the dub, the EP comes with a remix from Leipzig trio New Hook and another track titled 'Live120'.

In fact, Compost is known worldwide for being the pioneer of the future jazz genre. The very successful and highly acclaimed compilation-series like "Future Sounds Of Jazz", "Glücklich", "Elaste" or "Party Keller" are still timeless highlights.

For the 20 years anniversary we published a book - five years later, we put the music into focus even more again: The idea was to ask esteemed artists to reinterpret their favorite Compost tunes. So we are excited about getting both talented young artists and many of our all-time favorite producers involved in this project. Alongside the remixes and sold out vinyl label-classics, there are a few exclusive tracks in this strongly limited, hand numbered 10x12'' box. The new release by Fabio Me Llaman Soltero and Don Ipanema Boi on the promising label Richmerch is what we would call “batidão” in Brazil, something like “strong beat”, in a free translation, and it could easily be played during a Baile Funk in Rio de Janeiro due to the strong influence of the spicy and vibrant Funk Carioca in it. “Guatemalan Brigadeiro” has Brazilian influence in its title as well: “Brigadeiro” is a nationwide beloved dessert that can be defined as a bonbon “between a fudgy chocolate truffle and a Tootsie Roll”.

Fun fact: Brigadeiro is Fabio’s favourite dessert, and reportedly, Don Ipanema’s girlfriend prepares the best brigadeiro in the world, because of this the song was named like that. “We wanted to make a simple and non-serious idea with a good and aggressive rhythm that could express the Brazilian and Guatemalan cultures using elements from both countries”, according to Fabio.

Another fun fact: “Fabio Me Llaman Soltero is a character conceptualized by my strong Latin boyband influences that I had when I was a kid, actually I personally met one of the greatest boybands in history: Magneto (Mx). This happened because my mom was a really good friend of the mom of one of the Magneto members. So, Fabio is a rare hybrid between Julio Iglesias, Flavio Cesar, Kairo & Magneto (all Latin pop legends) and he loves a good suntan, yachts and beautiful chicas. My music is inspired in that lifestyle”, said Fabio.

Don Ipanema Boi is Fabio’s brother (real one) and his character comes from his obsession for the Brazilian culture (his girlfriend – the-best-brigadeiro-in-the-world girl – is from São Paulo, by the way). That’s why his music – both DJ sets and productions – has a strong Brazilian feeling.

“Guatemalan Brigadeiro” recipe: Lasers from old game consoles currently used in shitty arcades in abandoned spots in the historic district in Guatemala City, throbbing and striking basslines and vocals from Brazil.
