ALL BENEFITS FROM THIS ALBUM WILL GO TO THE SPAC


La “Societat Protectora d'Animals de Torredembarra” i la “Societat Protectora d'Animals de Catalunya” (SPAC) van publicar el dia 21 de Juliol un comunicat aclarint que davant la propera jubilació del propietari de la finca on actualment s’ubica la Protectora d'Animals de Torredembarra, i després de vint-i-sis anys d’activitat, es produiria el seu tancament definitiu; tanmateix, les protectores van arribar a un acord per aconseguir traspassar totes les instal·lacions del refugi a l'SPAC pel valor de 120.000 euros; i tenint com a data límit el 30 de Novembre de 2021.

Davant d'aquesta conjuntura, i amb la voluntat de donar visibilitat a aquesta problemàtica, Nyapster va posar en marxa la seva maquinària amb la realització d’un recopil·latòri sonor publicat en format digital; la totalitat dels beneficis econòmics obtinguts per la venda de l'àlbum aniràn destinats a l'SPAC, ja sigui per solventar necessitats econòmiques, o bé per cobrir les despeses generades pel material fungible necessari per garantir la subsistència dels animals.

És en aquell moment quan mitjançant les xarxes socials es fa una crida a artistes sonors de diverses escenes musicals, estils i localitzacions geogràfiques, per comptar amb la seva col·laboració mitjançant la cessió d'una mostra d'àudio o cançó que els representi.

El que podeu escoltar aquí, és el resultat d'aquesta crida.

Real / Fake Japanese Popular Music Mix from 1914~1980 by Yusuke Wajima & dj sniff *Commissioned by Global Pop Cultures Magazine, edition: “Real Fake, Fake Realness”
Starting from the early 1900s, Japanese popular music was established through incorporating various styles of foreign music such as jazz, Hawaiian, tango, and Afro- Cuban music. Its history is full of local composers releasing under fake foreign identities, mixed race and American-born Japanese singers, and overseas groups singing in Japanese. While this hybrid music is now nostalgic and even retro, it also illustrates how colonialism/post-colonialism, ethnicity, and stereotypes have played out in cultural identities and global pop cultures.
