Erdi Irmak is simply one of the most eclectic producers in the modern deep & melodic scene. The Turk has carved his own path, releasing sensational cross-cultural sounds on the likes of Tale & Tone, Amulanga, and Hoomidas. The XYZ faithful will have grown fond of Erdi’s work on the imprint thus far, appearing on each of our Oppo projects and recently released 'Driftwood' along with a set of remixes.  We could not be more excited to welcome him back for this third Selectors Series.

Brazilian born producer, Hauy, is known for walking a fine line between genres while bringing in international influences, while releasing on All Day I Dream, Warung, and many others.  Hauy recently blessed us with a remix of Sinca's and Toorak Green's  'Another Way'.  We could not be happier to welcome Hauy to his Selectors Series debut.

Producers are the backbone of any label; developing supportive and genuine relationships with our artists is the core principle of TOR's development. Our 'Amis' series is an ode to the figures that we feel are at the foundation of the label's journey thus far.

To kick off the Amis series on TOR, there was truly only one man for the job. Wassu will always hold a special mantle at the TOR imprint, as the man who inaugurated the label with his Andu EP in 2020. Since then, the New Yorker has turned heads with a string of prolific releases on the likes of Anjunadeep, All Day I Dream, and When We Dip XYZ. With each passing project, Wassu's mastery of warm melodies and boastful basslines deepens, showcasing the ever-evolving sound of the wizardly Wassu.

It's safe to say that Wassu has outdone himself on this one, welcoming a widespread community of producers into the fold. He grabbed the baton & ran with it, sourcing a bounty of material for the debut of Amis. More than anything, this collection of music represents the fact that Wassu is a man of the people; one of the most important characters in the deep & melodic scene. He brings together artists from all corners for our debut Amis project - longtime collaborators, new faces, inspirational acts, studio partners, and burgeoning partnerships all align on Wassu's Amis.

L.A-based producer Reza Safinia teams up with Ukrainian veteran The Organism on ‘Pandora's Sox', a quirky track which surprises at every turn.

Intertwined melodies first introduce the tune on a steady groove, that's brought to a hush by a husky acapella. That's where the full power of the tune is unleashed with a stripped-back drop sure to cause damage on the dancefloor.

Completing the release is a dub mix, where the trippy arpeggio is left aside in favour of a straight to the floor introductory groove. The prevalent drums of this alternate version highlights its distinctive textures and ad-libs.

Berlin's Elias Doré arrived on When We Dip XYZ with a summer classic. An artist of many flavors, Doré has shifted through all facets of music over the years, performing in various bands & playing all genres of music. From Afro-Funk in Dakar, Gipsy in London, Reggae, Soul in Berlin - Elias merges worlds through his modern electronic productions.

Doré connected with the sensational vocalist Stella Moya on Heridas, which offers crisp percussions, smooth synthetics, and a floaty groove that balances & propels the vivacious vocal seamlessly.

We are thrilled to offer a pair of remixes on Heridas. A longtime XYZ-favorite returns to the fold... Greece's DSF delivers one of the finest remixes we've ever released on the label. Perfect percussion ignites the rhythm, while prolific piano chords melt the mild; a track that is sure to take summer dancefloors by storm.

On the flip, Berlin's Paons lays into the groove, with swirling synth-lines offering late night tones. At stages throughout the arrangement, Stella Moya's vocal performance steeps into psychedelia, as Paons defines a sound on his XYZ debut, rounding out a terrific two-pack of Heridas twists.

Turkish duo AVAM again at Polyptych. After their successful start with the single "Sahara" as part of the Pentaptych compilation series, as well as visits to Cafe De Anatolia and Journey of the Soul, AVAM returns to us presenting their new two-track release "Orbit". The title track features vibrant harmonies, captivating ethnic vocals, and an incredibly emotional narrative, while the B-Side track "System" takes on the atmospheric and deep side of the sound, plunging into a fantastic trip. Phuture Shock Musik keeps it moving with No. 5 in their limited dubplate series, which sees deep house titan Trinidadian Deep return to the Bristol imprint with a 2-track juggernaut of percussion-heavy riddims and mystical frequencies; entitled ‘Jah Fe Movements’ b/w ‘Casa Profunda’.

Picking up where he last left off on PSM; with 2021’s ‘Dub Rockas’ EP, and following a recent remix for label mate Rosie From The Block, the NYC-based producer delivers a sure-fire pair of secret weapons, that once again captures his inimitable brand of deeply spiritual house music, with a typically rich medley of African, Caribbean and Latin influences oozing throughout.

Fronting the A-Side is the meditative vibes of ‘Jah Fe Movements’ a tech-infused heater for the late-nighters, where driving 4/4 kicks and frenzied percussion charge forth in unison with an entrancing keyboard riff, largely engulfed by a smoky haze of livity chants and bubbling dubtronic tones immersed in reverb and delay. On the flip is the uplifting, Afro-Latin-flavoured rhythms of ‘Casa Profunda’, which by contrast is a more sky-facing affair but no less aimed at the dancefloor as the lead cut, awash with breezy, euphoric pads and jazzy sax licks, that meander between sultry Latina vocals hovering over percussion-fuelled beats and a rolling bass groove with a tropical bounce.
