Iranian multi-disciplined artist, Soho Rezanejad is a composer and vocalist whose practice is a testament to versatility, born in New York, and now residing in Copenhagen. Rezanejad's work is mutable, often narrated in mythological storytelling and disclosed in a dizzying spell of genres. Her debut full-length album, Six Archetypes, accompanied by the intense visual drama of a series of music videos, paint a kaleidoscopic cast of unfolding characters. This same unwavering commitment to change is also found across the diverse themes and instrumental palettes she has explored in her visual and sonic works. From her performance series, Crow Without Mouth, based on episodic plays, to the vigorous sampling of natural phenomena and hymn-like aria compositions on her two-volume album, Honesty Without Compassion is Brutality. Since 2015, she has recorded over ten albums reaching wide acclaim for her prolific practices in electronic music, and has collaborated with renowned labels such as Posh Isolation. For 2021, Soho initiates ‘The Entertainer’ - a multi-episode reinterpretation of her own body of work, previously performed in Slovakia, Denmark, Italy and now Greece. 

She shares  a journey into a woman who, based on her devotion to god, gets burned at the stake - similar to a moth with the flame where, based on its love for the light, flies into the fire to become one with it. Is the moth’s devotion driven by choice? What about the woman?

Fabian Kempe's productions under the name of Korridor have consistently presented a foreboding and striking assembly. Previous appearances on Northern Electronics have taken in stuttering percussive works as well as tense minimalist designs. His debut album 'End of Cycle' applies a breadth of expression to a wide palette of mesmerizing and intense fit-outs that corrode and fortify in equal measure.

'End of Cycle' is born of a deeply personal set of experiences to have marked Kempe's life. Shortcomings and tribulations that have prompted spirals back to starting places and beginnings have informed the mood and missive that his debut album seeks to portray. Taking in themes that stretch from despondency to paranoid elation, Kempe has developed an architecture that lets austerity scream. Stark and synthetic ambient plains lead us out of conditions for communal experience, yet it's these passages that enable the sharp and brooding dancefloor works to deliver the barbed disturbances that they transport.

Up next on Mind Records, Italian producer Andrea Natale lands the debut iteration of his new project, Anna Funk Damage, which finds him engineering a playfully deviant assemblage of steely industrial percusiveness and gritty post-Freudian / libido-filled machine talk. Setting the tone straightaway, the A-side 'Here Right Now' goes straight for the jugular, blazing its way across a flaming hotchpotch of face-melting electronics as it blends exuberant bleeps and gut-churning drums on war-mongering mode for a sustained wrestle in the basement. Flip sides and the screwed-up eroticism of 'Click Facial' will grab you by the scruff of the neck to drive you amidst a filthy orgy of analogue distortions, X-rated samples and abstract modular implementations. Or simply imagine the result of recording David Lynch 'Eraserhead' over a static-filled vintage porn reel - it's just as spitting an image. Punishing hours in the pit ahead.
