"We popped round C@ in the H@’s gaff for a bit of knees up with him and fellow '100% Animal' lover Mr. Switch (4x World DJ Champion) the other night, and soon discovered we'd landed in a veritable menagerie of extreme animalistic mentalness. The man himself is a cross between Dr Teeth from the muppets and Dr Doolittle from……the famous film. We parked up in his garage and were met by a Gnu in a Shoe sniffing glue; had our coats taken by an electric Pig in a Wig; went for a pee and were met by a Giraffe in a scarf in the Bath; had some dinner and found Gary Busey crouching in the sushi. The C@ was insistent on lounging in his studio in a pair of leopard skin speedos, whilst teaching a fox to box and a lynx to kill JarJar Binx - hooray! He soon booted us out for not having any fresh skills to teach to his animals, so we nabbed this massive little 'Sax Party' gem of theirs on our way out - rest assured, we can guarantee no animals were rhymed in any way!" - Fat Harry.

Track 4 on 'Sunburst Radio' began with a fan of 'Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas' asking us to attempt an edit of the classic 60s Yardbirds track featured in the film. After a few late night 'rum & bass' shed sessions a rough edit was made, the film fan went away happy and that was that.

Following the circulation of a few CDRs it soon became clear that something that was hurriedly made just for fun was now becoming a favourite amongst friends, but this created a dilemma due to the size of the samples used. Having decided to go for a re-make we replayed the harpsichord, added Paddy's bass to the new percussion & breaks and several male vocalists attempted the high-pitched chorus with varying degrees of success. After a few 'dead-ends', Joe O'Neil from the band 'Moonlet & The Love Monks' was approached & it soon became clear that our cheeky cover was complete.

'For Your Love' was originally written by Graham Gouldman of The Yardbirds, released in Feb 1965 on Columbia Records but it's also been covered by Led Zeppelin, Herman's Hermits, Fleetwood Mac, Nils Lofgren, Chilly, The Greg Kihn Band, Humble Pie, The Ace Kefford Stand, Gary Lewis & The Playboys, Claudja Barry and Graham Gouldman himself - we hope you enjoy our twist on this too.

Back in 2007 MORPHOSIS and FAT HARRY teamed up and began working their musical magic to establish HKPP as one of the most vibrant, unique, and fun acts in the South West. As their popularity grew so too did the HKPP family, enlisting hip-hop maestro DJ SPINFORTH to the cause.

From its humble roots as the trail blazing NSB radio show Beating The Crates, to its Godzilla-like conquering of the South West club scene, HKPP has kept the three F’s, ‘fresh, funky, and fun (and feathers…no, wait)’ as its mantra. Along the way they have picked up such accolades as Breakspoll nominations for best small event in 2011 and 2012 an NSB award for the best alternative radio show in 2011, the 2011 best little south DJ of the year award, and Fat Harry once placed highly recommended in the Marldon Apple Pie Fair.

Wherever they are booked the brave men of HKPP endeavour to provide a night unlike any other.  So don’t just sit at home fantasizing about the best night out that never happened, come and experience it for real with THE HONG KONG PING PONG CLUB. Purple gorilla costumes are of course optional.

Their passion for good music and quality parties has spread their sounds far and wide, seeing them play at Glade, Boomtown, Sunrise, Aeon, Boardmasters, Leopallooza, The Masked Ball, Beautiful Days and Glastonbury Festival, supporting the likes of A.Skillz, Featurecast, The Freestylers, Scratch Perverts, Krafty Kuts, Ed Solo, Drumattic Twins, Parker and many more along the way, winning them fans & friends wherever they play.
