Our Brooklyn-Amsterdam connection has been growing stronger each day in the past few years. The bond our platform has with artists and labels from Amsterdam is truly special. The amount of talented artists and quality music that emerges (almost feels like daily) from the vibrant Dutch scene is mind-boggling. In that type of environment you really need to do something original and of high quality to get recognized. One of the record labels that has been on a steady rise since their initial release in 2017, Kalahari Oyster Cult seems to be making all the right moves. For all good reasons, Kalahari Oyster Cult is considered as one of the most exciting imprints nowadays which pushes the boundaries of electronic music with each new release and is home to artists like Roza Terenzi, Erell Ranson, Cleveland, A Psychic Yes and Reptant to name a few. 

The mastermind behind all this is Rey Colino, DJ and curator, whose mixes have been on heavy rotation in our HQs. In 2020, Colino started a new project - a vinyl-focused distribution service One Eye Witness. The project acts as a missing link between record labels and artists that share similar philosophies and provides them with a foundation to further develop. By being the main curator for both Kalahari Oyster Cult and One Eye Witness and with the amount of quality music that goes through his hands on a daily basis, Rey Colino is a perfect addition to our 'Delayed with...' series. 

The mix Colino made for us is a brilliant, feel-good energetic voyage that features tons of forthcoming releases. Technically immaculate with a great vibe all over, this mix is one of the best we heard this year. Hats off, Rey Colino!

All things inspirational and influential - the records which have shaped their sound as a producer or selection as a DJ.

#119 comes from Kasra V, a talented Iranian dj & producer based in London. The NTS radio resident has recently put out a release on one of my all time favourites, @radiantrecords, a beautiful release imbedded with textural & rhythmic play. In his productions & mixes alike, he fuses eastern & western sounds in a unique & exciting way -- with no specific genre & style binding his repertoire.

So happy to have him as part of the series - thank you so much for the mix Kasra!
