This features recordings from Cwmdale pool on the Long Mynd which has caught my attention for years after seeing the abundant life in many species of dragonfly, bugs and water beetles emerging from the small unassuming pool which sits in the middle of a golf course on this part of the Long Mynd.
For a while I made visits to the pool to try out recording with a hydrophone (made by Jez Riley French, inspired by a Jana Winderen BBC Sounds podcast - Listening to the Deep)
I took these back to the studio and started to respond musically to the sounds from under the water. 
After several visits, I then felt something was missing as a portrait of this location and so recorded in unison the sounds from above and below the surface of the water.
I also decided that this music would be a celebration of what we still have in the natural world
